Have been here a few times over the years and it was always pretty good except for yesterday. It was laughably bad. Every nigiri we got came nearly frozen solid. The fish didn't lay across the rice like you'd expect, it was like a frozen flat brick balanced on top. Frozen fish on warm rice isn't very good. Ordered a higher quality tuna thinking surely that can't come out frozen, but it was one of the worst cuts of tuna I had ever seen - very stringy. We could hear other customers commenting and laughing about how everything was frozen or otherwise very poor quality as well. The staff looked depressed...we felt bad for them because I'm sure they wanted to serve better food, but had their hands tied by whatever was going on in the kitchen. I don't know what was going on there, but I hope they return to the quality they used to have.

While it's tempting to give a 1 star review because it was such a disappointing way to spend 6,000 yen, I'll give 2 because I know this restaurant can be good. Perhaps it was just a bad day. Will go again some day and hopefully I can update this review to be more positive.
