Note for travelers! The main bike loop from the Cafe is closed. As a result, our ride was a little more commercial and intense in competing with highway and service road vehicles. Maybe not all riders would mind this. If youโre hoping to bike through tea fields in ~March/April โ25, see if you can confirm if the loop has reopened. We didnโt think to check. Would recommend messaging the cafe prior using a translation app if you donโt speak Japanese. Also note the tea fields map provided at the Cafe is in Japanese only, which made it tough to explore / evaluate other potential routes. All to say, plan ahead with some research if youโre hoping to enjoy this day trip from Kyoto or Osaka.

There was a downpour and when we got back they brought some towels for us to dry off. They also tried to help us call a taxi when our scheduled one didn't go through. We were on a day trip for my partner's birthday and when they found out they gave him a pretty little cloth pouch as a gift which was sooo nice. The snack and food options there are also delicious!
I have recommended visiting Wazuka and especially this cafe to all of...
