Kotobuki — Restaurant in Yakushima

This place is a little bit magical. We came here after our flight was delayed and we hoped to find lunch. It was pouring rain, and all we could see was a stone path leading up the mountain. We followed it through a mysterious entry gate and eventually a small old wooden house appeared, completely dark.

The sign read 'open', so we entered and called out. After some time, a slightly surprised elderly couple greeted us. They clearly weren't expecting guests, yet they were very kind and offered to make us lunch.
