Having phoned up on Sunday to ask when they were serving food, was told Wednesday at 5pm, decided to check today Wednesday was told 6pm not good staff need to know??? Lovely old pub / restaurant, might be a bit dark inside with the low lighting and dark colours but we were there for the food really.

Tried a few of the local beers on tap as well as the specials on offer, the lamb cutlets were nice with the veg and extra portion of chips, the chicken was well cooked and tasty, the chips were definitely the winners on the table though ask for another portion you...

Outdated, dark and very local! The pub itself is is what some might call "authentic" but the building is outdated and the decor dark and dingy. Be prepared for stare offs with the locals who don't seem to enjoy any newcomers. In general the staff are friendly and good with service but the poor landlord needs to smile a bit more often.
