Green Island
1 Sentence Summary: The southernmost Michelin restaurant in the British Isles delivers a mean bacon and sausage butty too.
What’s good here? I’ve always been after visiting the restaurant, yet it’s always tough getting in. Perhaps it’s the lovely setting (looking out over La Motte/Green Island) or that it’s rather small, but most likely it’s just THAT good.
So I had to settle for a visit to kiosk - a side-venue (literally) serving all manners of beach-centred treats, ice creams etc. but most of all - sausage and bacon sandwiches!
Starting with the roll - a fresh, crisp Portuguese-style roll - you could tell you’re talking quality. Served by lovely, friendly and smily staff and with two high-quality rashers of bacon and two meaty sausages, the £5.20 price may seem steep but it’s plenty worth it.
What’s an ‘Opportunity for Improvement’? If you’re after visiting the restaurant, call well in advance (bookings are clearly essential) and note the opening hours may change depending on season.
Tell me More When I’ve managed to get to the restaurant, I’ll update the review. Until then, I’m more than happy to settle with these ace bacon and sausage butties.
How many Stars?
5 - One wouldn’t normally think a bacon and sausage butty was worthy of such praise, but once again - quality and excellent service makes all the difference.
Anything to disclose? No - paying customer, anonymously visited.
How I Rate: I normally rate 1-4, with 5 reserved for ’Exceptional’, i.e. “deviating from the norm” or “truly worthy of note”.

Read moreProbably the worst customer service one can get. Firstly it is difficult to find restaurants around this area so people are stuck with this one. I asked if they have any sort of sandwiches and the lady (I probably the owner or manager, pretended not to understand my accent . I had to ask 4 times . She said they didn’t have but only few items for take away in the kiosco. I then went to on buy those options as there was nothing else and we had them at the beach.
