Masrur Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in City of Kisumu

I stopped by on Friday 24th Decat 3 am for coffee These are my honest observations. As I waited for the coffee within 5 minutes..5 rats had come into the cahiers area from the back door. The kitchen had not been cleaned and utensils were scattered on the counters..the air a bit stuffy. The coffee was not hot. And the coffee preparation and tools not clean. The barista should be encouraged to sanitize surfaces..coffee making machines.

The toilets were terrible..dirty..maybe there was no flowing water in...

For a pit stop, this is a very good restaurant. We were on the road 1 hour away and made an order on phone for 13 people at 2am in the night. The person who picked the phone took our orders with no fuss at all and did not request for any advance payment.

We reached the place and found our order ready. The service was very good. For a restaurant located in a petrol station it is comfortably furnished.

I recommend this place for anyone needing a quick stop to eat when travelling via...

This restaurant used to be great, but they are now under new management, with a new chef. They only post their menu above the counter and are now focused on pizza and western style lunch and dinner items. They do have fresh brewed coffee and sugared donut holes which are delicious, but they do not have chapatis and their eggs are not cooked ideally. Also, their prices are higher now. Maybe we will try it again sometime for pizza or chicken and chips to see if they do...
