Beautiful space but service seems to be deteriorating over time over several visits. Very many waiters for a small space who do not seem to be keen on scanning the space for customers needing assistance. It takes a while to get their attention. Increasingly sloppy service (waiter took time bringing water glasses after forgetting them when they brought out our water). Thankfully, food was good. Cocktails a bit of a miss. Great ambience ruined by a DJ who plays music way to loud and with unnecessarily heavy/loud base. Impossible to have a relaxing conversation in a space which should otherwise be relaxing. DJ or manager can't read the room and adjust this based on the customers present. I requested for the volume to be moderated, pointed out the mainly elderly customers trying to have a conversation over lunch time. Music volume was slightly reduced before being cranked right back up. Washrooms need to consider privacy for both males and females and need to be better maintained (hygienic taps, airflow). Roast needs to decide if it wants to be a meals and meeting place which actually most people coming to Tatu City need after going through the place or a...
Read moreDecided to drive out and experience the hype around Tatu City and was glad to see there’s a Roast by Carnivore not too far from the main entrance. I feel like the pioneer patrons of Carnivore had the same experience when it started. The repurposing of containers is something close to my heart because it lends to my need to be sustainable and thanks to that Roast can take all my money. Now to the nitty gritty; the food was nothing short of what I’ve experienced and more reason why you shouldn’t be afraid to drive out. My brother and I had the platter for 2 and within no time after ordering the food announced itself with the signature sizzle. Coupled with sauces and chips and a sale for the side dishes I instantly knew I didn’t regret going all the way. The kind service staff was on hand to help us look around and experience more including shifting us to a table where I was able to plug in my laptop and get some work done. If you’re at Tatu City for a meeting, work, to pitch or just visiting and need to grab a few drinks for later, visit the bottles container shop and grab some at affordable prices. Oh, don’t forget the...
Read moreDuring my visit to Nairobi, especially to the coffee farms, we passed by this shop. It was a very good choice. It was in a great location and anyone passing by on the road can see the place. It also has private parking and very clean bathrooms. The place is very clean and the staff are very welcoming. The menu has many options. As for the decor, it uses simplicity with art. There is a TV to watch matches. As for the seating, it is comfortable. You might think that you will spend 10 minutes in the place and then find yourself sitting for 60 minutes. So I recommend that anyone passing by this way not to miss...
