We had a craving for nyama choma (roast meat) and mutura (I don't know what this is called in English - maybe African sausage 😅) and we knew the only place to go was Ashaki. And Ashaki did not disappoint - the meat was so good that I even forgot to take pictures 😂😂 That's the thing about Ashaki, you can always bank on their food. They could have done better on the sauté potatoes but the meat was so good that I let the potatoes pass. It was a slow rainy Monday night, so there weren't many people and there was plenty of space. We had hoped to pay pool but there was a queue.

I was there for a Country Saturday Night which I wad performing at and thereafter my friends and I had some really amazing Meat platter that was so good it felt like heaven. Generally their food is amazing and their service is top-notch. But more so if you love live band performances…Ashaki in general is definitely a place to check out and especially their bramches in Ruiru and Garden-Square If you’re a fan of amazing meat! Ashaki in general is a pretty good place to start! You’ll love their food that’s for sure

The mbuzi choma was really soft without being overcooked. Roasted well and a decent portion. The potatoes took a while which I creased the wait time. Our server was great and she checked on us during the meal. There were kids running around and playing at the bouncing castle but not too loud. The seating around barrels was comfy but not the best. All in all a great experience for the roast goat!

Terrible Experience - Negligent Management, Insecure Parking

I recently had the misfortune of visiting Ashaki grill Thome, and I must say, it was an absolutely dreadful experience from start to finish. Not only was the food subpar, but the management's complete disregard for the safety and security of their customers' vehicles left me utterly dismayed.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, I parked my car in their designated parking area, assuming it would be safe. Little did I know that it was an open invitation for thieves to have a field day. Shockingly, my car was broken into, and personal belongings were stolen right under the nose of the restaurant's negligent management.

What infuriates me even more is the fact that despite informing the staff and management about the incident, there was absolutely no follow-up or concern shown from their end. It was as if they couldn't care less about the safety and security of their patrons. This lack of responsibility and accountability is simply unacceptable.

In summary, I strongly advise against visiting Ashaki grill Thome. The blatant negligence towards customer safety, coupled with mediocre food, atrocious service, and a lackluster ambiance, make this establishment one of the worst I've ever encountered. Save your time, money, and sanity by avoiding this place at all costs. There are far better dining options available where your safety and satisfaction are...

Visited this place on Sunday and discovered their outdoor space is more preferred by clients. I settled at the pub area and I must say, the service wasn't up to par. Was served by Joel and he didn't do a good job at all. We could call him and he could just ignore us. You give an order and he has no time to take the orders for the whole table. You ask about the wifi password and all the waitresses could say was Hakuna or Sijui. No supervisor/manager in sight! We were surprised by the cost of meat (beaf) one and a half kg set us back 2,800/= and they said they charge by portions. This is too expensive anywhere, you can get mbuzi choma, same quantity for less. It was delicious though. All the same, we watched a football match as we charted away and left.

There is plenty of parking space and there is a car wash too.

A huge room is there for improvement in terms of service or many client will move to the neighbouring establishment...
