If you’re looking to experience the heart of Albanian cuisine, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this was more than just a place to eat—it was a showcase of Albanian tradition at its finest.
The service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, eager to guide us through the menu and share insights about the dishes. It felt like we were being welcomed into a family home.
When it comes to the food, words can hardly do justice. The portions were generous, and every bite was a delightful celebration of authentic Albanian flavors. The ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality, with rich, earthy flavors that transported us straight to the Albanian countryside.
The atmosphere added another layer of charm to the experience. The no-smoking policy made for a pleasant and fresh environment, which is not always easy to find. The mild, well-chosen background music complemented the setting perfectly, enhancing the cozy and inviting ambiance without being overpowering. The interior design was stunning—traditional and cozy, with tasteful details that paid homage to Albanian culture while providing the comfort of a contemporary space.

Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into Buk e Zemer, we felt truly welcome. The warm hospitality and friendly service made us feel right at home. The staff took the time to explain the menu, and we even received an iPad with photos of the dishes, which made choosing even more exciting.
We wanted to experience the local cuisine, and that wish was more than fulfilled! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious—honestly, I don’t think there’s anything on the menu that isn’t amazing. The portions turned out to be a bit larger than expected, but the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary tea, which was a lovely gesture.
After finishing our coffee on the terrace, the waiter kindly helped us call a taxi. And as we left, we were given a warm farewell with a friendly handshake.
I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Pristina who wants to taste authentic local cuisine. An incredible spot with outstanding service! Thank you so much for the wonderful evening—we truly hope to return one day.

While we were eating I overheard the waiter telling the table next to us that their POS (card) machine wasn’t working and they could only accept cash. However, I was observing and the POS machine was working just fine with no issues.
When it was our turn to pay they told us the same thing that the card machine wasn’t working. We said we didn’t have cash and could only pay by card. After the waiter spoke to the owner, he brought the “broken” POS machine which as I had seen earlier was actually working perfectly and we completed the payment.
I don’t recommend this place to anyone. It seems the owner is trying to force people to pay in cash just to avoid bank fees and taxes by pretending the POS...
