Recently visited Garden in Kosovo with my mother and two cousins after returning from the U.S. We were looking forward to a nice evening, but unfortunately, our experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
When we arrived, there was no one at the entrance to greet or assist us, so we began looking for a table ourselves. Suddenly, a bald man—who appeared to be the host—shouted across the room, asking, “Do you have reservations?” His tone was abrupt and not at all welcoming. I replied, “No, we just walked in,” and he told us we could sit down but would have to leave by 8:00 PM. It was only 5:30 PM at the time, which made the restriction feel unnecessary and a bit dismissive. The way this was handled made us feel like we were not valued as guests. To make matters worse, my sister tried to book a table there for her birthday last week, and she was asked, “Are you male or female?” This kind of question felt inappropriate and left us questioning the fairness and professionalism of their reservation process. Sadly, it seems like unless you are a well-known or "important" person, you don’t get the same level of respect or service here. Hospitality should be about treating all guests with kindness and respect—regardless of who they are.
I truly hope Garden takes this feedback seriously and improves their customer service. Everyone deserves to feel welcome and appreciated...
Read moreA restaurant with good vegan options. Rare in Prishtina, so only that's worthwhile to go for! The cauliflower steak is highly recommended. But you have a choice, so definitely try it. The garden places are nice, however very smokey, because all neighbours smoke and don't care if their fumes cross your table. A pity for the otherwise good atmosphere and green garden. Service friendly and helpful. Only one ladies toilet, so one needs to wait at lunch or dinner time. Prices reasonable, especially given the good choice! Worth to come all the way out of the centre for...
Read moreNice place, but if you are with a car, not recommended. Complete lack of control over the parking. There is a middle column to allow for more parking which stops all other cars on the side from leaving. That is not uncommon, but usually the parking boy has everything under control and the keys (such as at the Swiss Diamond). That’s not the case here which led to a super long delay in leaving as they had to ask around whose car it is. Frustrating and acceptable - then simply don’t allow middle row parking if you don’t have it...
