My visit to Kasab Restaurant today was met with high hopes and eager anticipation, particularly for their famed dry-aged ribeye. As someone who typically enjoys their steak cooked to a perfect medium or medium-rare, I was aware that achieving this level of doneness with a serving weight of 250g might prove challenging.
Upon my arrival, I found myself engaged in conversation with an individual who appeared to be the head chef ( Ibrahim) . However, it soon became apparent that he rarely ventured into the kitchen and instead seemed to function more as an owner or manager than a chef.
When my steak finally arrived at my table, it failed to meet my expectations in every aspect. The tasteless, unsalted, and overcooked beef was disappointingly tough and chewy, lacking the flavor and tenderness I had anticipated. Disheartened and dissatisfied, I summoned the chef to express my concerns about the quality of my steak, suspecting it had been overcooked.
To my astonishment, the chef's response was far from satisfactory. Rather than addressing my concerns with professionalism and courtesy, he responded with a dismissive remark, questioning my age and asserting his supposed superiority in culinary expertise. It was a bewildering and unprofessional exchange that left me speechless and disheartened.
Reflecting on this encounter, I am inclined to believe that the chef's lack of understanding of basic culinary principles may have contributed to the disappointing outcome of my meal. Whether it was a deliberate attempt to deceive or a genuine misunderstanding, the end result was an unsatisfactory dining experience that fell short of my expectations.
In conclusion, I regret to say that I cannot recommend Kasab Restaurant to those seeking a quality steak dining experience. However, I must commend the onion appetizers, which provided a fleeting moment of satisfaction amidst an otherwise...
Read moreThe exterior of the restaurant is creative and pleasant as well as unique giving old arab and turkish vibes. The food was not very fatty or oily like most restaurants, which makes the food much better! Waiters are kind, friendly, and playful with kids! Unlike most restaurants, there isnt any loud music playing and it is peaceful and doesn’t give constant headaches from loud noise. The atmosphere is very nice as I said with the exterior of the restaurant as well as when i said it was peaceful and quiet, one downside to the atmosphere is that the ac was significantly high for an indoor public space. Although it isn’t their fault and most likely the mall’s fault, i will still let this affect my rating. the food was great and well cooked although i wont give it 5 stars, 4.3 is nice for the food. Overall 5 stars and was great for me and my family! Definitely recommend it...
Read moreSooooooo.. this place was a little bit out of nowhere because I thought it was a western stake house but it turned out it's Turkish which was a delight suprise. The restaurant is on an almost open space which can make you feel you are in the middle of the mall instead of a restaurant so make sure to know where you sit and where to face. The staff is nice and friendly and thier smile is always there. The food is great the show is great and the price is good. Will definitely...
