Having spent a few weeks cycling rural Lao drinking instant coffee only we treated ourselves with a small coffee crawl on the way down from Paksong to Pakse. This place was our 3rd stop. A bit of a culture shock: bus loads of tourists are poured into the place, do a quick tour around the gardens, drink coffee and buy a souvenir.
We found it to be so so. Having had a terrible pour-over at another place right before we switched back to milk coffee: a flat white. Was okay but nothing special. Pain au chocolat was stale, almost inedible, even after having survived on noodle soup for weeks. The “white” tea we had on the side was not up to standard.
For genuinely good (specialty) coffee you’re better off in Pakse than here on...
Read moreThe place is nice and quiet. They sell better Cappuccino than other places in Pakse. The view is very relaxing and peaceful. The bartender does not speak English but you can just say the name of the drink and he will understand. If you have a bike, just park it in front of the coffee place, lock it and take a look once in a while. The restroom is clean and comfortable. They also sell coffee ground and other food.

Smelling plants, tasting cinnamon leaves and more. And the coffee. Very good. The best i have had yet. And it smells divine.
