Location is away from the centre so you’ll need to hire a bike but it’s such a beautiful ride out so peaceful and so worth it. It takes about 30 mins max on bike. You can stay here for hours, chill on the hammocks, walk around the rice fields, chill with the kittens and dogs and the food is tasty and well priced, the staff are lovely. I’m so happy I took the trip out. It was so relaxed and I could have stayed for hours but I had to get the bike back. I would recommend this place 5⭐️ if you’re in Luang Prabang, definitely go. There is also a little place you can stop off nearby to see a few temples too so makes the journey worth it even more than just this place alone. It’s truly beautiful and it’s often missed. There are also sockets to charge your phones....

Riding on a Japanese scooter, being hit by the Lao sun, seeing rice terraces on one side and Lao people selling fresh fruits and produce on the other is an experience every backpacker in South East Asia is accustomed to. But the sum of all these blessings cannot be taken for granted. And how could one even improve such flawless moments of being? Surely by consuming a cold Beer Lao, a Cappuccino or a veggie sandwich at a place overseeing more rice terraces and providing its customers w/ beanbags and excellent service. Na Khoun Café is a tremendous place, just recently opened up and is operated by amazingly friendly people. Make sure to check it out when in Luang Prabang or around to selectively improve your state of being in one of Asia‘s most...

(October 2023) This café offers a gorgeous view with a peaceful atmosphere and makes a decent tuna sandwich! Some of the items from the menu were unfortunately unavailable when we visited, perhaps it depends on the current season. I wish they played different music, I remember we started going crazy because they kept re-playing the same 3 songs 😅 Back in October, I noticed the place needed some maintenance, e.g. the main table/desk overlooking the “valley” was leaning too much and it would have been dangerous to put your food/drinks on it, which is a shame, hope they fixed it/can fix it soon. We paid 150k LAK for a soup, sandwich and a drink. Receiving bananas from the lovely staff in the end was very nice,...

Beautiful little cafe on the edge of a rice patty field. At the moment all the rice paddies are dried up, but there is still a beautiful Mountain View (albeit smokey). They have loads to choose from including breakfast and lunch/dinner options, as well as various teas, coffees, alcohol etc. All incredibly well & reasonably priced. The fried rice was amazing and for only 40k kip. There’s a bungalow with various tables and hammocks you can lounge in while you enjoy your time at this cafe. Also a very friendly kitty and puppy who will come say hi & ask you for a snack!
