Have tried three pizzas (can't remember the names as those are odd - I know these are the names of the urban areas in Jurmala). We ordered via Wolt app so may be the pizzas were affected during delivery.
We received three pizzas, all three were wet and the base didn't hold the toppings. All fell apart. The ingredients tasted cheap, especially salami, mozzarella and ham (which are the main ingredients in most Italian-style pizzas). Also the smell wasn't as satisfying as an authentic Italian pizza.
Sure, for Jurmala, it is OK, as no big competitors on the market. In Riga though, it wouldn't survive long with cutting costs on good-quality ingredients, considering their price range. The main competitor would be Casa Nostra, but they would certainly be unmatched.
VERDICT: Quick delivery; wet dough (hope it is affected by delivery); cheap ingredients; names that make no sense as to what the pizza attempts to represent. If no alternative found within the price range of 8-13 EUR per 30 cm pizza, then go for it.
P.S. May be I'll give it another chance with other pizza at some point in the future
Thank you for your response! Good to see that feedback is important for you.
In further response:
Pizza dough is the best I have eaten in Latvia. Is the real Napoletan style pizza like in Italy.
Besides Pizza there is wide selection of drinks on your taste, and the coffee is great.
Cocktail are also super tasty 😋 we tried 'white spritz' that was something very close to Hugo cocktail taste. They first cocktail came also nicely decorated, however the second one was already done differently, just with ice and slice of lemon.
Cake was also very tasty, however I believe the price was bit exaggerated - 4.5 EUR, but it was worth it 💯.
Service: Staff is polite and friendly, they answer all the questions, however are super busy and serving lot of people simultaneously. Also in terms of the waiting time, they are great, we were waiting for pizza some 20 minutes, while cocktail they served immediately. They forgot to bring the tea for one of us together with cakes. And we were in the situation to explain that we haven't received it, and they said that it has been served already according to their records. Nevertheless we got that tea in the end it was bit awkward.
They have some limited tables under the roof on terrace and the rest is on the terrace under the open sky. If you are to go during the weekend, booking a table is highly recommended...
Read moreAfter 4 hour walk around Jūrmala this was our final destination before going back home. We had one pica each - Lielupe and Pumpuri. Both were really well made pizzas. Ingredients looked and tasted fresh. You can also add extra toppings, we took burrata cheese as extra. I was full after one pizza. The place is cozy and not huge. In main building there is a place for two tables and while there is cold outside there is a greenhouse seats also available (or outside). During summer outside seating wins by far. Atmosphere is like home, full with small details, pictures , books etc. I liked being in here. Last time I was here few years ago and quality is still good, service is noce and was quite fast for us. I'd like to come back sooner than in few years 😂 Possible to reserve seats although that's not mandatory, but for larger groups it would be...
