Very nice place in terms of the design. But I will never come back for a few reasons.

Shrimp soup was awful. I’m not a food critic, but I couldn’t eat this thing. Chicken with a cheese sauce was okay, but the sauce was also bad. Goulash was tasty. Beer is good as well. When we finished, our lady told us that we can’t pay by card (I don’t even have a plastic card with me, Apple Pay only). Then she took a terminal and we payed nicely. Is it a question of taxes or something else - I don’t know.

Anyways, as it is the only place in the town with such a high rating, please consider these things before...

This is nice and cosy place, built from logs, just in case you are missing it from main road. There's enough room inside to enjoy pub like atmosphere as well as outside dining is possible. Service is great, greeted at the entrance and menus offered. Food is marvellous. Be careful though with portion sizes, if you are not hungry enough, they are huge. Overall great place to have a stop and meal, car park could be a bit larger, and traffic noise from the road interferes, if you're...

If your criteria for a good meal is large portions at a friendly price you’ve come to the right place. Dishes on the menu are pretty much what any Latvian restaurant has, flavors - have had better but have had worse too.

And what’s with the punishment table for patrons with dogs, who get sent to sit 50m away from the restaurant? 🤔 Maybe to keep the pets safe from the diseases the homeless cat might have, who the...
