Anna's Garden — Restaurant in Riga

I had a reservation at Anna‘s Darzs with 35 people for my graduation. 3 months before I reserved a table via email. Firstly, I reserved a table for the outside area - when we came to the restaurant, we had a big table inside, which was clearly NOT communicated before. Food and wines were selected beforehand (which was also demanded by the restaurant) - weeks in advance. In the end, 2 dishes from the selected menu were deleted one evening before the reservation. The ordered red wine was not in stock. White wines and sparkling wines were warm. The main dishes came together with the starters.

I did the reservation in Annas Darzs because I love the atmosphere (especially the outside area) and had good experience before but unfortunately I would not recommend someone to go there after the experience I had. Also, it was really unfortunate that the restaurant did not tell me earlier about the changes of the table to the inside area. If I had knew in advance I would have had the chance to change the reservation to another restaurant (which I would have done as the primary reason going there on this special event was the nice atmosphere in the garden).

The food was really good and the waiter did a really nice job but apart from that I was extremely sad and disappointed about the service. When I approached them they only told me that it was not their own fault and they couldn’t do anything. No apology - nothing.

Visited Anna's Garden during Rigas Restaurant week, and I was blown away by the service provided, food presentation, and its taste! During this visit, the food was exquisite, the presentation of the food was amazing and the service was attentive, hence I thought, I must come back!

However, returning on the 22nd of November, we were greeted in a polite manner, orders were taken, and that's was it regarding the service we received. Not once did the waiter come by to ask if everything was ok or we wish to order something else. The food was nice, but the prevention expectation wasn't close to what we received during Rigas Restaurant week.

Upon finishing main meals, we sat for 15 -20min in front of empty plates, while 2 employees were too busy chatting and didn't even look at us. I was waving numerous time to get their attention so we could order deserts, but it was unsuccessful. I had to leave the table and my guests to ask them to clear the plates so we could order deserts and final beverages.

Considering that during our visit there were 2 more tables, and food is not the cheapest in town, the service could've been...

Vieta skaista, izslavēta, bet pilnīgi sabojāja dzimšanas dienas svinības ar apkalpošanu un personala nolaidību. Sēdējām ārā un atsalām kamēr sagaidījām kaut ko no pasūtītā. Pusstundu pēc pasūtījuma pieņemšanas mums atnesa uzkodu plati, tad pēc pusotras stundas paši gājām jautāt, kur ir mūsu dzērieni, jo gaidam saskandināt vīna glazi ar jubilāru. Izrādās bārs pazaudējis mūsu pasūtījum - ok - kam negadās. Apsola mums siltos kokteiļus uz iestādes rēķina, ja vēlēsimies. Šķiet būtu tā kā viss nokārtots un vakars tālāk izdevies. Bet nē! Iepriekš pasūtītos dzērienus atnes vēl pēc gandrīz stundas un ne visiem. Kad norādam ka vienam cilvēkam neatnesa meitene atbild:" jā protams zinu, tūlīt nesu". Lieki teikt ka neatnesa. Tad pēc 2,5h gaidīšanas atnes ēdienus- vilšanās. Krēmzupa bija šķidra, garšoja pēc blenderētiem zirņiem, no spinātiem vai riekstu pesto un citām sastāvdaļām ne miņas. Vienam cilvēkam paziņo ka viņa ēdienu nevar virtuve sagatavot- nav. Šajā brīdī visi vēlējāmies vnk tikt prom, glābt vakaru - prasam rēķinu. Mums apsola tos karstos kokteiļus tūlīt atnest ar rēķinu. Lieki teikt neatnesa ne rēķinu ne kokteiļus. Kad jau 3x gājām prasīt rēķinu(vispār gribējām vnk celties un iet prom), puisis dievojās ka reku jau taisa karstvīna kokteiļus. Tie nebija tie kurus pasūtījām. Atnes it kā mūsu kokteiļus ( pēc garšas skaidrs ka karstvīnam sagāza klāt to ko pasūtījām un garša vienkārši salkana un pretīga). Rēķinu neatnes. Prasam atkal. Mums atkal dziļi atvainojas pasaka ka iedeva vēl rēķinam atlaidīti. Aha iedeva un pie reizes piesita klāt visu ko tā arī vakara gaitā nesaņēmām. Neko - gājām atpakaļ un atkal labojām personāla kļūdas. Atmosfēra, protams, smuka....bet ja godīgi izskatījās, ka personāls kko lieto aiz letes. Puiši izskatījās lēnīgi un sapīpējušies, meitene ar tik pārbiedētu skatienu kā stirnai uz lielceļa. Bija meitene kura izskatījās ka saprot, kur atrodas un ko dara, bet viņai viss bija vienalga.
