Myut Baabdat — Restaurant in Baabdat

We visited Myut last week and unfortunately we had one of the worst restaurant experiences.

The restaurant's location is beautiful with great views but it could get too hot at times and they could definitely invest in some fans and better shading for hot summer days as most restaurants do.

We ordered our food and took the kids to the playground (which is a few minutes walk away from the restaurant). After 45 minutes, we were surprised that none of our food has arrived yet (not even kids meal or fries). We asked the waiter about the order and were told that there was a problem in the system and that the kitchen received some of the order and the other part was somehow deleted. The waiter told us that he will get whatever was received by the kitchen and will reorder what was deleted. 30 minutes later, we still did not have any item on our table except for the soft drinks (which they messed up at first by bringing 3 extra diet Pepsi bottles). We complained to another waiter that it is taking so much time and he went to check on the status of the order. 10 minutes later (at this stage we had been waiting for almost 1.5 hours) the waiter came with the kids meal but the order was totally wrong (we ordered plain burgers for the kids but the burgers came with everything on them).

After seeing all this mess, we decided to cancel everything and leave. We asked to speak to the manager when we were leaving and the manager was blaming the 1.5 hour delay and the wrong kids meal on the technical problem. We told the manager that the waiters knew about the technical problem 45 minutes ago and that should have been more than enough time to at least bring us some appetizers but all the manager had to say was "we had a...

We went on a saturday afternoon after my daughter attended an event at the playground there. Took the waiter 10 min to choose a table for us although it was almost empty. we ordered 2 desserts (fondant and cookies in the pan) and 1 crispy chicken. The desserts took ages to come. The cookie in the pan had a burnt taste on the side where it touches the pan and was overdone. But the biggest disappointment was the fondant au chocolat. When we started eating it, there was no melting chocolate inside it. it was a normal cake. We complained about it and the waiter said this happened today a few times already. The manager told us he will get back to us and didn't show up. When we asked another waiter, he said that was the chef style (to offer a fondant without melting chocolate). And to top it up, we got the bill with the fondant included while we didn't eat it. After complaining again, they removed it from the bill. This rating is for Sunday only. It was my first visit on Sunday afernoon (based on reservation of course). Food is good, prices are affordable, arguileh is nice with very nice view and atmosphere. Kids will love the arcade and the entertainment show & characters and music but it's charged. But the service was very slow, no more bread, and no more cold beverages. The waiter was very nice. He tried his best but the delay was from the kitchen. I will try it again but not on weekends. The management should solve this mess due to overcrowding. And if not, don't overbook if you are not...
