Despite making a prior booking for 25 people, mentioning the arriving time and having children who cannot be late in getting ready for lunch, our experience at this restaurant was highly disappointing. Even though we arrived on time, one person didn't show up. The manager (owner) reacted rudely and unwelcomingly, insisting in a bad manner that we would still have to pay for the agreed number of persons, regardless of the missing guest. This lack of flexibility and understanding was quite disheartening, as we expected better hospitality.
To add to the frustration, while we were still eating and before even asking for the bill, the manager approached us in a loud voice, demanding payment without even presenting the bill and, surprisingly, even before we asked for it. This abrupt and pushy behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere and left a negative impression on all of us. Additionally, the service was exceptionally slow, making us wait for an extended period for everything, including the arguile, which was supposed to be ready beforehand. Waiting an hour for the arguile after requesting it was unacceptable.
We had to wait for more than 30 minutes to receive the dessert, which turned out to be nothing more than a basic item like very small slices of watermelon fruit, and the quantity provided wasn't enough for all of us, and the same slow service was evident when waiting for the coffee.
Adding to the disappointment was the handling of the cake we brought to celebrate a birthday. Instead of receiving a celebratory gesture, such as having the cake brought to the table with a smile and a birthday song, we were left to retrieve the cake ourselves. The overall lack of hospitality and promptness in service for food, arguile, dessert and coffee, along with the absence of a proper birthday celebration, significantly impacted our dining experience. It's unfortunate that these aspects were not up to par with our expectations, as they greatly influenced our overall impression of the restaurant. Despite the disappointing experience, we chose to remain respectful and still paid the full amount, along with tips for the service staff. However, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this place at all. For me, the welcoming atmosphere and service are vital factors before considering the quality of the food. A positive and hospitable environment greatly enhances the overall dining experience, and unfortunately, this restaurant failed to deliver in...
Read moreDuring our visit, the restaurant was pleasantly uncrowded upon arrival. We were promptly seated by a courteous staff who greeted us warmly and remained attentive throughout our meal. A notable feature of the establishment is its provision of a small playground for children.
The food arrived swiftly after ordering, and each dish was served warm and delicious. The Fatouch impressed with its fresh vegetables and impeccably balanced pomegranate sauce. The Ras asfour was skillfully prepared, boasting a delightful sauce and perfectly cooked meat. The Sausages (nakanek) were good but could benefit from a more pronounced blend of spices. The cheese rolls were satisfactory, offering a decent portion of cheese. The Wings, while fried well, lacked accompanying sauces or dips.
The homemade Hommus was a highlight, expertly crafted, and flavorful. The French fries were acceptable, though the potatoes with herbs were enjoyable despite needing a touch more spice.
Overall, our experience was overwhelmingly positive. The attentive and accommodating staff and pleasant location were commendable, although the atmosphere could benefit from enhancement. Despite this, the restaurant comes recommended for its flavorful dishes and...
