During our visit to Al Mokhtar Restaurant, we decided to really experience what this place had to offer—and that meant trying almost everything on the menu. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional, and it’s safe to say this was one of the most satisfying meals we’ve had in a long time.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and quickly made us feel at home. The seating was comfortable, and the dining area was clean and well-kept. You could tell they care about both the food and the overall experience of their guests.

When it came to ordering, we didn’t hold back. We sampled a variety of dishes, from fresh salads and appetizers to hearty grilled meats and traditional Lebanese specialties. Everything was served promptly and beautifully presented, with portions that were generous but not overwhelming.

The appetizers were a perfect way to start—fresh tabbouli bursting with parsley and lemon, creamy hummus with smooth texture and rich flavor, perfectly balanced fattoush, and warm fresh bread that paired with everything. The grilled halloumi was a standout, slightly crispy on the outside with that irresistible salty flavor inside.

The main courses showcased the kitchen’s talent. We enjoyed juicy, perfectly seasoned kabobs (both beef and chicken), tender lamb chops, and a variety of mixed grills that were smoky, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite tasted fresh, as though it had just come off the grill, and the spices were well-balanced without overpowering the natural flavors of the meat.

One of the things that really impressed us was how complete the meal felt. Alongside our mains, they brought out sides, fresh vegetables, and sauces that elevated the dishes even more. And just when we thought we were done, dessert arrived—beautifully presented, delicious, and included as part of the meal. Fresh seasonal fruits were also served, making for a refreshing and sweet ending to a perfect feast.

The pricing was another pleasant surprise. For the quality, quantity, and variety of food we enjoyed, the cost was more than reasonable. You can tell this is a place that values offering guests a rich dining experience without overcharging.

Overall, Al Mokhtar Restaurant delivered on every level—food, service, presentation, and value. Whether you come for a quick meal or a full family gathering, you’ll leave satisfied and probably planning your next visit. It’s the kind of place where you can trust that everything on the menu will be good, and where generosity is part of the dining experience.

This is a very well run restaurant from the minute you pull in to the end. Valet parking employee’s are courteous to hostesses to employees and to add icing on the cake even the owner is on top of everything, he makes it his job to come and greets you and make sure you order is correct after introducing himself, he also make some recommendations to select plates. Best of all he leaves you with the impression that you are going to pay for it except when the bill comes you quickly realize that what he recommended is on the house. Best of all the food is great, employees are tending to every detail whether he is your server or not. When we got done the head of waiters figured out that I need them to clear the table from simply looking at him. All employees are trained, motivated and work as a team. I was flabbergasted and overwhelmed with their hospitality I only wish this place is close to me as we live in Tripoli. I will revisit this place occasionally however I wish if they were in my hometown. Helpful hint to owner, respond to reviews to optimize...

A Truly Wonderful Dining Experience at Al Mokhtar Restaurant

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed with genuine smiles and attentive service. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. Service was prompt without ever feeling rushed, and their menu knowledge was impressive.

Whether it’s for a special occasion or just a casual night out, this restaurant delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommended! Thank you Jihad and Fadi for the great hospitality! Will always come straight from Canada...

I recently had my wedding at the Mokhtar Venue in Lebanon, and it was such a memorable night, thanks to Rami, Mariam, and all of the wonderful staff. My husband and I don't live in Lebanon, so we were initially worried about how everything would be planned or how we could make decisions from afar. However, Rami and Mariam guided and helped us with everything over the phone, which was fantastic. Everything turned out better than I could have ever imagined or wanted for my big day. The setup was absolutely breathtaking, and the buffet was incredible! Now, whenever my husband and I are in Lebanon, we have to visit Mokhtar. The atmosphere is incredible, and you can't go wrong with anything you order—the food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are so thoughtful and attentive to everything!

This was a big family outing with adults and children and the place catered for all our requests and had a verity of dishes from the traditional Lebanese cuisine. A tasty selection of starters made us almost full before the main dishes arrived, so be cautious not to order plenty of starters and main dishes. The desserts and fruits offered at the end are delicious and a genuine part of the experience so make sure to save some space for them. Some orders took a bit of time to be served although the restaurant was nearly empty. Spacious indoor and outdoor seating areas and it plays live music on some nights. Needs a bit of driving if you are coming from Saida city center. expect to pay around 15 USD per person.
