We stopped here for dinner and it was a truly luxurious experience. From starters, to main courses and desserts, to drinks. Everything was luxurious. Very helpful and nice staff. We were very well taken care of from start to finish. The entrecote with pepper sauce was great, the meat completely melted on the tongue and was like a cake. My wife is very picky about steaks, but she was very satisfied here. And I was excited about the Vienner schnitzel with potato salad and cranberries. Finally, someone in this country prepared me a really luxurious and delicious schnitzel! :-) And the desserts were another treat. I am not much of a sweet tooth, but their pannacotta was simply amazing. Wife chose from their ice cream menu and it was also great. Simply, visiting this establishment was a great gastronomic experience for us. The best food and restaurant of our entire short stay in Liechtenstein. Unfortunately we were disappointed with our visit as the waitress was very unpleasant at from the moment we came in. She offered us the "only available table" with the explanation that other tables were reserved (certainly not visibly). After us came another couple who got the same treatment with a bonus of her eye rolling because they sat down at a table that was not prepped with plates and cutlery.

They asked about the tables on the terrace but got the explanation that its too cold outside (16 degrees Celsius in the mountains ?!)

Food was fine, expensive, not a lot on the plate but very good quality. You could see that the cook really had skills.

View is amazing but if you want to avoid the service you can enjoy the view from the parking lot...

Das Restaurant Kainer in Triesenberg ist weit mehr als ein kulinarischer Geheimtipp. Es ist ein Ort gelebter Gastfreundschaft, authentischer Raffinesse und einer Herzlichkeit, wie man sie heute nur noch selten erlebt.

Cornelia und Helmut Kainer führen dieses Haus mit einer so persönlichen, aufrichtigen und warmen Art, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an nicht wie ein Gast, sondern wie ein gern gesehener Freund fühlt. Ihre Gastfreundschaft ist nicht aufgesetzt. Sie ist echt, spürbar, still vornehm und dabei tief herzlich. Es ist dieses stille Können, das nie laut sein muss, um Eindruck zu hinterlassen.

Die Küche von Helmut Kainer ist ein Gedicht in Gängen. Besonders empfehle ich das butterzarte Rindsfilet, meisterhaft begleitet von fein abgestimmten Gemüsekompositionen und raffinierten Kartoffelvariationen. Seine Risottos sind von einer aromatischen Tiefe, die ihresgleichen sucht. Und wer einmal eine seiner Lachsvarianten gekostet hat, weiss, wie sich Fisch in vollendeter Form anfühlen kann. Jede Zutat hat hier einen Platz, jede Note einen Sinn – und doch bleibt alles leicht, klar, unprätentiös.

Und dann ist da noch dieser Blick, ein Panorama, das sich mit der Kulinarik zu einem Gesamterlebnis verbindet: das weite Rheintal tief unten, die majestätische Bergwelt ringsum. Ob privat oder geschäftlich: Hier trifft man sich, um zu geniessen, zu staunen und wiederzukommen.
