We were the only people in at lunch, and ate a meal booked through an agency. The three-course meal had clearly been prepared well in advance and the hot courses were adequate but dull (vegetable soup made with dried veggies and scraps; venison stew with decent meat but over cooked vegetables- possibly warmed up from a previous occasion? - and served on a cold plate). Dessert cake was light and good. ||Service was slow and clearly not interested in our business. A member of staff removed one plate while the diner was still eating from it. Bills for drinks were presented between main course and dessert - graceless, to say the least. One diner declined the (prepaid) coffee, and was then told that she could not have more water without paying for it. ||This is probably the only such establishment anywhere in the area (near the Hill of Crosses), so they probably have a monopoly. They know it and it shows. ||Don't go unless...

We came to the restaurant, sat down — and waited 10 minutes without anyone bringing us a menu. Honestly, if one of us hadn’t gone out into the main area to remind the staff that we exist, we probably would’ve kept sitting there forever.
After that, we waited another 20 (!) minutes for someone to take our order, but no one ever came. And mind you — the place was not busy at all, and there were at least three waitresses working. They just walked by like we were invisible.
And the cherry on top — when we finally got up and left (of course, without ordering anything), we got judgy, passive-aggressive looks on our way out. As if we were...
