Schou — Restaurant in Dippach

The location of the restaurant is truly lovely — nestled in a park and right next to a playground, making it ideal for families.

While the service was professional, it lacked a bit of warmth. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. I believe the overall menu could benefit from a thoughtful revision to offer dishes of higher quality.

The salad I ordered did not match its description and lacked clear culinary direction — neither Asian nor European. It was bland and the quality of the smoked salmon was poor.

I’d consider returning for a drink to enjoy the setting, but I sincerely hope the food concept evolves to better reflect the beauty...

I was walking in the park with my daughter and stopped to look at the menu. A very nice man, Fausto Feroldi, stepped out of the restaurant to say hello. He invited us in to see the restaurant, and he explained the food and the history of the place. We weren't even going to eat, but he was happy to talk to us. It was a cold, humid day, so he offered us each a hot chocolate as we were leaving. What a nice experience. The menu looks good. We will return...

Seuls clients un dimanche en milieu d’après-midi rejoints quelques minutes plus tard par un couple qui s’installe en terrasse. Le serveur sort quasi à la minute en terrasse pour prendre la commande puis revient pour préparer leurs boissons ! Ce n’est qu’après les avoir mis en place qu’il s’enquiert, par dessus le comptoir, de nos envies, 2 Irish Coffee. Ceux-ci étaient quasi prêt jusqu’à ce que le serveur remarque qu’il lui manquait la chantilly. Il demande au cuisinier assis au fond de la salle derrière son laptop s’il lui en restait en cuisine. Le cuisinier, au lieu de se lever et d’aller voir lui même, demande au serveur de le faire. Celui-ci revient bredouille en nous proposant l’Irish Coffee moins cher par manque de chantilly. Offre que nous refusons gentiment. On commande alors 2 cafés au lait ce qui par la même fait baisser la facture de 20 à 7,20 Euro. Entretemps, le cuisinier a enfin daigné se lever et partir en cuisine pour resortir quelques instants plus tard avec un siphon chantilly fait à la minute. Donc voilà, quelques incohérences dans le service, le patron qui perd 12,80 Euro sur une « petite » commande plus les 2 soi-disant Irish Coffee à jeter car inexploitables.
