Brasserie Schmëdd — Restaurant in Esch-sur-Alzette

At the end of the road literally in the middle of nowhere is old iron mine in aread called Terre Rouge - red land. There you can find in one of the mine buildings this little restaurant. Little just in terms of size, but the rest we must call great. Starting with the stuff ends with the food they serve. And it's cheap as well. For daily dish you pay around 12euro which is big enough for every hungry foodie. It was pure luck we found it.

The food is good quality and of balanced tastes. 1.Can have soup or buffet style plate of your own choose 2.Main dish Plate of cheeses of your selection Sweet dessert

The stuff provides welcoming and proffesional service.

The place is very pretty and can offer place ofer at least 20 persons inside. I didn't count it properly. Outside in summertime are another places to sit and enjoy this place as whole. The olave should attract everyone interested in the Mining history and museum as well surrounding woods and...

Awesome little spot hidden away in Esch!

The food is traditional and cooked with lots of precision and skill. These delicious meals are generous and the prices are mors fhan justified (and fair!).The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a nice and clean interior.

Desert was a delight aswell. After our meal, the chef himself came to the tables and asked if everything was good. He even made the effort to speak Luxembourgish - a true display of class and care. In the summer they have a big outdoor space, but make sure to make a reservation, this gem has become well known ;-)

Perfect spot for a Sunday lunch after the hike in Ellergronn! We had relatively low expectations and got nicely surprised - food was really good (schnitzel just ok, but supreme poulet was a champion 😋). Place is bright, neat and dog-friendly, service is nice and helpful. On the top of everything it is one of very few spots in Luxembourg that are open on Sunday...
