For luck of a better word i would say retro. But that doesn't even cover half of it because vintage would have worked so is classic, vintage, antediluvian, archaic, but the one word you can not say is boring. The walls are covered by writings random from Germany to french to english to I don't even know which language. The owner or host is as eccentric as the place. I loved the atmosphere and causal nature of it all. Sad part if I could pick a little bit is the luck of windows which always makes me uncomfortably. If you’re in the area of this Bistrot you have found a little Gem. Very rare to find a place so colourful and entertaining to the eye as the Ranschelter Bistro. The Food is worth its price and the portions are generous.

The hostesse is the real deal in the ‘wild west’ of Luxembourg so I would pay my dues to Romaine and her partner.
