Das Kaffee und der Laden liegen gut zu finden auf der Hauptroute durch die Insel. Das des Waren-Angebot ist an die Insel angepasst. Die Souvenirs sind schön und im Laden gibt es Obst von der Insel. Der Ort ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um die Insel zu erkunden. Zahlreiche Wegweiser und Tafeln dienen dazu, sich schnell und problemlos zurechtzufinden. Der große gebührenpflichtige Parkplatz (5€ proTag) ist in der Nähe. Die Corona-Regel werden auch hier gut umgesetzt.

Gutes Selbstbedienungsrestaurant mit guten Speisen. Apfelkuchen ist fein und gut gemacht. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit und auch geduldig mit Berner Tempo. Die Toiletten sind trotz hoher Frequenz sauber. Preis Leistung stimmt, man kann im Sommer bei schönem Wetter draussen sitzen. In der Nähe ist auch gleich eine Veloverleih Station. Alles in allem ein guter Start für den Inselbesuch.

Mainau Insel is a must for gardeners and anyone vaguely interested in flower displays,shrubs and trees. The island sits in Bodensee near Konstanz. We drove from Bregenz through Switzerland which took about 1 hour 10 mins. The scenery was beautiful on the way and worth it...

Der Mainau-Träff mit Hofladen ist ein liebevoll gestalteter kleiner Verkaufsstand, an dem man frische und regionale Produkte kaufen kann. Das Angebot reicht je nach Saison von Obst und Gemüse über Blumen bis hin zu hausgemachten Spezialitäten. Alles ist sauber, übersichtlich präsentiert und in sehr guter Qualität. Besonders praktisch ist die unkomplizierte Selbstbedienung – man kann jederzeit vorbeischauen, ohne auf feste Öffnungszeiten angewiesen zu sein.
