Nasi Lemak Musang Pandan — Restaurant in Bandar Dato' Onn

For me just below average. The food came a bit too salty. Even the old lady who cooked told me the same.She said she used to be the owner of Cawan Restaurant if i not wrong.... Bandar Tasik Puteri , because I lived there before.

What I ordered

Nasi Lemak RM6 + Ayam Musang Pandan RM7 The portion was big, so that is good. The rice did not have fragrance. I could not taste santan or any spices. Maybe can add a bit of oil, butter, and a pinch of halba to make it better . The Musang Pandan chicken tasted a bit like instant noodles curry paste with oil and kicap manis. It was tasty but too salty. I had to drink a lot of water after the first bite.

Soto RM10 Portion also big, enough for two people. Good amount of meat and the spices were nice, Perak style. Still, the soup was too salty. The lady asked how was the food, I said “boleh lah”. She tried the soup and asked if it was too salty. I said “yes, very salty” and we both laughed. I think it was really just an honest mistake.

As someone who absolutely loves nasi lemak, I’ve had my fair share over the years, but Nasi Lemak Musang Pandan truly stands out as one of the best I’ve ever tasted.

From the fragrant, fluffy pandan-infused rice to the perfectly balanced sambal kerang that hits just the right notes of sweet, spicy, and savoury, every bite was a delight.

The KFC-like chicken was cooked to juicy perfection. You can tell there’s a lot of heart and tradition behind this dish.

food was excellent. big portion for mee kari. sambal sweet not spicy. green siganature nasi lemak, no halba. big n nicely done teh o ais. price averagely reasonable. ambiance abit echoing because no sound system or tv etc yet. well air-conditioned environment inside glass door with outdoor seating as well. serving time can be improved and can make customers who arrive first will get their food first, if not many will be annoyed. pay before eating system and qr pay available. just...
