I absolutely love the food here, but the service is a bit disappointing. It may be somewhat difficult to have someone with actual manners take your order.
First of all, I don't appreciate or tolerate people who think it's okay to poke me when taking my order. It is absolutely never okay to touch the customer unless you're a hairstylist, someone doing facials, etc, and I know damn well with my common sense the workers here are not any of those nor similar.
If you simply can't wait or have the patience for the customer to think of what they want, especially since you prefer to go right up immediately to take the customers' order the moment they sit down, then it's not right for you to do this job. I don't mind someone immediately being there, but waiting a few seconds is simple and not difficult.
The way one of the workers poked my shoulder just 1 second after asking what drinks I want instantly just ruined my whole mood and eliminated my desire to enjoy mamak food on that day. As a male, if that alone can ruin my mood, then it would be absolutely uncomfortable for a women to dine here with such individuals working.
Just recently, I went to this restaurant around 6pm for dinner. There was also an Indian couple (no intention to be racist) sitting in the table in front of me. The girl kept acting cute and making weird noises and also kept kissing the boy. This was absolutely embarrassing and it's even worse since I'm sitting right in front of them. What a coincidence that we were directly in each other's field of view. I think the restaurant itself has some sort of responsibility to ensure the atmosphere is peaceful and enjoying their food with no disturbances, not just mind their own business yeah.
But aside from all those negative things I just felt I had to share with people planning to visit this restaurant, the food here is just so good.
The fried food, the roti, everything! I really love the Maggi Soup here as well for its soft and crunchy vegetables, egg, and the spiciness is just right which makes it really enjoyable for me.
So folks, if you want good mamak food and can bare possibly bad service, then go to this E&Y! It's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is my second time here. The first time I came was with a friend after dinner so I didnāt eat anything.
This time round I came to try out their food the first time. Usually I will go to their branch E&Y Sahul at Adda heights since I am staying there.
First impression wise very good, place are clean. The table and chair is very cozy and comfortable. Since the shop is a corner unit, itās very breezy as well. The roti that came as I expected the curry tasted exactly the same as the one at Adda heights which is superb. The drink also tasted amazing.
The one thing I like is that they even installed the pillars beside the shop to protect the customers eating outside Al fresco style. Refer to the photos.
My only complaint will be the staffs are really not friendly at all. When u call for them, they responded very unwillingly. Even when they see u waiting to order your food, they never seems to care!
Price are as usual. So overall, I quite like the place except itās always fully packed most...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't know what they do on their tandoori, but the chicken breast tandoori was tender and super juicy compared to other e&y places I went to. The egg thosai paired with fish curry was also nice. The gravy is thicc and got a hint of spiciness and sourness but not too overpowering.Pricing is not that expensive as well! They also sell shawarma but not yet to try. Will update again once I manage to get.
Moving forward as for the service, slightly slow although I understand there are a lot of customers waiting, but I keep calling them and the staff just ignore me or say someone will attend me. But no one attended me lol. Anyway if you want fast service just come in the morning while not a lot of people around.
Atmosphere wise it is a mamak shop. What do you expect?5 star...
