🐣 TikTok brought us here, and it’s totally worth it. Very satisfying to the taste, stomach, and wallet! Hahaha.
🐣 You just need to queue to order food and drinks, pay, then find a seat, wait for your name to be called, and pick up your order from the trolley at the kitchen area. Avoid peak meal times to avoid long queues.
🐣 We went all out that afternoon, ordering smoked beef, bone soup (which was packed with meat!), and shrimp omelette. For the smoked beef, we had to cook it ourselves—they provided a stove and grilling equipment. The dipping sauce was also delicious and went perfectly with the smoked beef. The bone soup, full of tender, fragrant soup, meat was so soft it didn’t require much chewing. The shrimp omelette was unforgettable. We couldn’t finish everything, so they had a corner where you could pack the leftovers. Clever!
🐣 The seating area is spacious and roomy, though it can get quite crowded and noisy. But overall, everything was fine. The food was prepared quickly, and we weren’t left waiting for too long. If you want a special experience, maybe try coming at sunset—it’s absolutely beautiful here.
🐣 Aside from this shop, there are other stalls selling different menus. There’s also a dedicated corner for Thai food. Parking is tricky, so you have to be good at...
Read moreA rather strange ordering system. First of all, one has to queue at the counter to place their order, and they are not given any menu prior to that. Imagine the queue at the counter, where everyone could only decide what to order when it’s their turn. Mind you, most of the eateries out there are already using QR menu. Alternatively, a simple gesture of placing menus at the table could have solved this issue.
Next, service is non-existent. Everything is self service, from ordering your food to collecting your food (with a trolley). You have to wait for your name to be called to collect your food. In other words, you have to deal with the constant noise of announcements over the speaker throughout your dining experience. Moreover, I even had to clean up my own cutlery because the forks and spoons didn’t seem properly washed. Says so much about the cleanliness of this place.
Food wise, I would say it’s mediocre at best. One could find so many better options out there with better services. I think it only appeals to those who haven’t really tried authentic scrumptious Thai food.
The only good point about this place is the location. The view is enjoyable especially during sunset. What a shame for such a nice location with so...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Thong Ne Thae, and I must say it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for casual meals with friends or family. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.
Now onto the food — every single dish we tried was absolutely delicious! You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients and the love put into the cooking. Whether it was the soups, grilled items, or the side dishes, everything was well-seasoned, balanced, and full of flavor. The portion sizes were generous too, making it worth every cent.
One of the things that stood out was the consistency in quality. Sometimes you get one or two standout dishes at a restaurant — here, every dish we ordered was a hit. It's clear that the team behind Thong Ne Thae takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Overall, I highly recommend Thong Ne Thae to anyone who appreciates authentic, tasty food served in a friendly setting. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to again soon. Five...
