When you come to Gayang, this is the top recommended seafood restaurant that always crowded with people from everywhere. The attractive 4.1 stars rating finally brought us here 2 days ago.

Let's start the review. The portion of stir fried broccoli and cauliflower with mushroom was not enough to plug your teeth, yet they charged Rm 15 per plate. The sweet and sour fish fillet not sweet and not sour at all. The signature dish " dried butter egg fried prawn", minimum order was half kilograms. Since we saw people posted and recommended it, and almost every table also order this dish, we had no reason not to order, right?

Reviews could be very subjective and based on personal preferences, but I personally think "the dried butter egg floss fried prawn" was not up to my expectations. Although the prawns were very fresh, the chef didn't deep fried enough to get the richness of prawn smells. And the egg floss that created from egg white, flours and seasoning were a chaos, because it didn't have proper ratio, it ended with very plain taste but no butter and egg aroma at all.

I could only eat 5 or 6 prawns and my stomach already became so bloated. I had a very bad feeling that prawn intolerance came to me very soon. Over the night, I couldn't sleep at all, stomach cramps make me woke up 3 to 4 times to vomit out all the foods completely, after that I felt very dizzy and stomach pain until diarrhea with loose stools for 2 times. Luckily I am totally recovered at the next morning.

I wasn't say their food was not clean or caused food poisoning . But to advise people who came for seafood, do not eat too much if you noticed you have difficulty to digest prawn or crabs that easily caused boost up of cholesterol, indisgestion or seafood allergy reaction. I had stayed loyal to this restaurant as it was the go to restaurant for my family. If we have any events, we would always go here and have a great time. After they moved location, the service became worse. Here are some things that I have felt really disappointed about. The waiters The waiters were really displeasing. When coming to the restaurant, you have to look for the waiters not the other way around. If you do not know what to order, often times the person taking your order would just look at you or simply move to other customers instead of giving you suggestions on what to eat. The service The services was horrible. The waiters sometimes feel like they dont know what to do. I dont know for other people but when my family went there, the waiters were very rude. Ignoring some of the people at the table, kicking chairs that my brother was sitting, getting angry at my family for taking too long to think of a drink to order. When we asked the waiter about our food. They would say they would check but I clearly see them going back to their table and playing with their phones. The food There were not not a lot of customers when we came to the restaurant. Our food still came late. I noticed that some customers who came after us had their food first. while we had to wait for almost an hour for ours to come to the table and when it did, it was cold. I can understand the time it needs to cook but I simply do not like to see my brothers waiting there hungry while looking at other people enjoying their meal. Overall I wish the boss/owner would take notice of this and improve on their staff but instead the boss simply sits infront of the cashier and looks at their phone.
