Golden Station — Restaurant in Borneo

As a Singaporean and a big fan of fresh seafood, I was absolutely thrilled with my experience at Golden Seafood Restaurant in Kota Kinabalu! This place is a seafood lover’s paradise. The seafood was incredibly fresh, with a wide variety of options to choose from, and the flavors were simply outstanding.

We started with the butter prawns, which were perfectly crispy and coated in a rich, creamy sauce. The highlight of the meal, however, was the steamed fish. It was so fresh that it practically melted in our mouths, and the light soy sauce dressing allowed the natural sweetness of the fish to shine. We also had the Sabah specialty, salted egg crabs, which were full of flavor and generously portioned.

The service was friendly and efficient, and the staff were happy to make recommendations. The open-air setting added to the charm, allowing us to enjoy the evening breeze and take in the lively atmosphere.

Golden Seafood Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for amazing seafood in Kota Kinabalu. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m here! Highly recommended for fellow seafood lovers from Singapore...

This is my honest review. I went there 2 times, first time the service was kinda bad cos it took like 20+ minutes for my food to arrive while my mom and 2 other siblings already finish with theirs.. 2nd time though was smooth.. so let us talk about the food.. the food was great! Get the prawn noodle its delicious! In fact their fried noodle is good as well. Now the atmosphere.. the atmosphere is great! Just one thing that is not to my liking.. the flies.. yeah kinda ruin the moment. My conclusion.. it is not that bad.. of course there would b flies since it is an open area. I will try add a few photo later when i go there for the 3rd time. Update : i already post some photos of the place AND to whoever owns the business, u need to monitor your workers in terms of services. U guys need to step up your game cos i really hate to see the biz goin down...

Interesting restaurant as there's no air conditioner but it relies on fans and the cold air, though a lot of mosquito so recommend bring some ointment that repels mosquito. Overall the food is good, ordered the 158 set, even though it's a set you can change certain dishes within it, but if you were to change a vegetable dish then the chosen dish have to be another vegetable dish. We ordered sayur manis telur, japanese tofu, sweet sour fish, fried calamari and dry butter prawns. Overall it's delicious and fulfilling though the fried calamari's flour...
