An honest award winning premiumly priced, hard to find, no wifi, no 4g coverage, narrow road, silly parking, hidden seafood restaurant that serves 100% fresh seafood! 😆...The cooking time and serving time was epic fast too! 🤯Unfortunately, the flavor and seasoning are kinda average.🧐e.g the salted egg sauce was too plain. Then, the butchering of the chicken dish was pretty bad too with bones part bits on it.😑 I really like their fish, cheesecake and seasonal drinks serves in jugs. 😛 Their Service ordering attendants was excellent and helpful too but again most of the utensils are self service method. 😰 despite their awareness to refills to their garlic and chillies they do always run out. Probably should use a larger container. Thus, Not sure is wise to charge this much yet asking your customers to self serve their own plates, utensils, plain water and stuff. ༛̥⃝ but it does make things easier for mi after that long journey i coming from. Hehe ^.^.... Anyway, the whole place is also very hot and humid, even at evening...making it unpleasant to indulge more.😓 Their murals and decor are kinda farmie, dimmed lights, spacious toilet rooms. In Summary, i really hope they aircond the place in the future and fix all that i mentioned then it will surely become an hidden gem. ⍣⃝ If you are traveling around this area like on your way to cowboy farm, crocodile farm, jurrasic park, be sure to drop by here for your lunch or...
Read moreDishonest, poor service ethics & overpriced seafood! 🙅🏻♀️
Dishonest - aggressive selling, claiming that only locals know this place and that the seafood is cheaper than kk city. We checked with our local Sabah friends afterwards and they say this is an infamous store that likes to charge tourists expensive rates!
Poor service ethics. Usually when you eat live seafood, you can ask for price quote before deciding if you want to send the ingredient to cook. We requested for it but they ignored us and just cook it straight away. In fact, they asked us to go back to our table and wait for them to come serve us. The next thing we know, the food are all cooked and served.
Very Overpriced The lobster is 600 ringgit for 1.4kg weight & 200 ringgit for 1.2kg which is consider very overpriced. There’s this sea grape vegetable that they will recommend you as the signature local dish as well. That alone is a 400% whopping price markup from original price outside. Overall taste for the seafood is fresh and okay but for the price u gonna pay for? I will give it a hard pass.
We hope this review would reach out to anyone have the intention to visit here, please do take note of what you would be getting yourselves into. We will not visit this place again and definitely will not...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Sabah and this is the only restaurant that left a really bad taste in our mouth from the entire 10 days trip. I wished we have seen and trusted the reviews before visiting. Very bad work ethics and no business integrity, something that we least expect from Sabah. While the food was okay which was expected given the high price tag, for tourist and non-locals who are not familiar with the Malaysia tax system:
You do not need to pay for the 10% service charge for off-the-shelf items.
The chargeable SST rate for different items should be different according to the Malaysia government tax regulation. For dine-in food, additional 6% is chargeable based on the service provided by the restaurant, while for other take away/off-the-shelf items, the rate may differ. For example, honey should be at 5%.
We were told that the honey costs RM120 per bottle, we ended up paying RM120 + 16%.
Chinese managers and employees insisted that this is part of their system and this is purely just a miscommunication, there is nothing much they can do about it as they are just employees. Only after repeated confrontation that they asked if i want to do a refund of the purchased item. This is our first...
