Exceptional marketing; tragic food and service:
Food:
Black egg tart Omega egg tart Hor fun Chicken chop noodles Yin yong Siew pau ... and more
1 and 2 tasted bland with zero sweetness of the egg, it wasn't particularly crisp, was just very lacklustre considering the premium pricing
3 was a tragedy; clearly NO ONE in the kitchen knows what a proper hor fun tastes like because it was not THAT...
4 was fine; the noodles tasted kind of worse than maggi but the chicken chop was decent
5 was meh while 6 was the best thing in the entire store
Service:
No one greets you at this store. You have to wait a while before the service personnel lazily strolls towards your table and leave them without a single smile or hello. They treat customers like you owe them debt.
The service personnel also has no idea on how to differentiate their drinks (can't differentiate their own yin yong despite serving multiple versions) + do not really know the preparation methods of even the toast. Get your cutlery and do not expect tissue; you service yourself here.
Overall a disappointing experience; not sure what this blend of Hainanese and HK-ian should be described as: confused, bland or catastrophic?...

But then we are still waiting for our roti bakar which haven't arrived yet, the boss or supervisor or manager keep looking at our table like questioning why are we still there.
And we are a bit full after eating mee and other roti, so we eat our roti bakar slowly. The boss/manager/supervisor still keep looking at our table. Then when we finish, I wait for my friend to come out from the toilet, yet the he still keep looking at our table. There is no customer queuing at that time. We even didn't sit for an hour there, and it makes us uncomfortable and...
Read moreI was eager to try the Teh C (milk tea) which won award in HK. I wasn't very impressed. I appreciate it is unique. I am used to drinking hainanese Teh C and HK milk tea. The Teh C served here is stronger and not as creamy compared to the normal HK milk tea. I would have preferred to have more evaporated milk in it. I also had the ham, egg and cheese sandwich. The bread is fresh and soft. I think it lacked in cheese. I also tried the Kopi Nai (milk coffee). It is also strong and I would have liked...
