Medan Ikan Bakar Seri Warisan — Restaurant in Dungun

There are actually 4 restaurant in medan ikan bakar, the one i frequent is Putera Duyung.. It is always packed with people, you can reserved the table there..

The place is fairly clean, but choose your table properly, since there are some table spot kind of smelly.. Sometimes they have problem with flies, they should put candles at the table i guess.. But usually it is as clean as it can be. No roaches or litter but lots of cats around( i dont mind the cats)

There is a playground beside the restaurant, so kids will love to eat out here, plus star for a public toilet (not sure how hygenic it is, but it is a pay toilet so i guess fairly clean?) and musolla nearby.. It have nice view too..

This place is dark and i mean really dark. Finding it is utterly impossible without Waze. No street lamp, can only depend on the miserable restaurant lights and some rare passing customer cars. The place is infested with cats. I am a cat lover but when the cats jump on me or my table when im eating, i do feel harassed and overwhelmed by them! The food is mediocre. I know many places which are way better. Price is okay. But they need to seriously control the cat population, its a menace to customers. Can catch a nice sunset. Parking is free. Its not an easy task finding a decent restaurant outside of the Tangjung Jara Resort but this place has 2 things going for it. One is the location, as you do get a lovely view especially at dusk over the estuary and secondly the food is pretty good for the price. Try the Nasi Goreng rice dish with the chicken and the Mee Goreng Chai Kwey Teow type dish both came out piping hot and also the fried fish, add a vegetable dish and you have a meal for 4 for around 30 Ringgit.
