While awaiting our rental car drop-off at the airport, my wife and I decided to take an impromptu drive around the airport vicinity, which led us to the Shaik Dawood Nasi Kandar restaurant.
As a typical nasi kandar eatery, the menu and style followed the traditional pattern we were accustomed to. However, this time, we aimed for something different and went for the char-fried squid noodle. The dish turned out to be good but not exceptional. Its generous portion prompted us to share the dish, which was a wise choice.
The coconut drink we ordered provided much-needed refreshment, especially on a hot day. While the restaurant maintained cleanliness, the layout felt a bit disorganized, and the lingering smell of kitchen smoke was noticeable.
Parking was available along the roadside, although spaces were limited. It's worth noting that the restaurant is conveniently less than a 10-minute drive from the Penang International Airport, making it a feasible option for those with time to spare before their flights.

Dia kalau betoi nak rasa sedap tu pastikan ada kuah daging hitam. Hat nie kira macam signature nasi kandaq blah² Tanjung sana. Kena ada rasa pedas, masin, manis yang seimbang baru ada suurrrrr!!
