NASI BERIANI KUKUS LYROY TAMAN DAYA JOHOR — Restaurant in Johor

Came here with another 3 colleagues for buka puasa. Ordered the seafood Dulang (tray). All 4 of us had a tough time finishing the food. The portion was big - could easily feed 5 to 6 pax, but we 4 managed to finish it (thanks to me and another colleague 😁😁😁)...

The Briyani : rice was just ok with 4/5 rating. I like the caramelized onions scattered in the rice, Fried Giant squid : as the name suggests, 2 pcs of that, and the size was ginormous. This is my first time trying this large squid. There goes my cholesterol level high up again 😭. Tiger prawns : was quite bland and the meat was not so tender! The bottled drink : a green colored oxtail, but it was enormously sweet. Had to order mineral water to dilute it.

The servers : a mix of human and robots! Funny part is, the robot plays Malay wedding kompang music before/after delivering food. Indeed amusing!

I’ve been to Lyroy a couple of times and personally, I feel like their beriani, mee rebus are definitely their strongest point. Sadly, my overall breakfast experience was a little so-so. Saya cuba lempeng, lontong kering, & soto bihun.

The lempeng was perfectly good. I puji yang ni. Lempeng lembut, cukup rasa. But the lontong kering & soto bihun didn’t quite hit the mark for me. For the lontong kering daging rendang, the flavours felt a bit overwhelming despite nampak meriah. I wished sambal kacang tu pedas sikit to create better contrast. As for the soto, it unfortunately arrived cold after an extra 30 minutes of waiting. So, a bit turn off for the experience.

I truly hope there will be room for improvement in the future, because the place definitely has...

Used ur common sense when ur drinks is not ready yet, Give us a mineral water or at least a glass of plain water to break fasting.. have to wait half hour for drinks 🤦already chocked then

Food- brianni kambing -average. Maybe should try the daging cz i see someone tapau n order extra for gravy Drinks- kedondong asam - superb! Pineapple - can consider as plain water just a little bit taste of pineapple Apple asam boi- ok la

Servis- i dont know what happens at the back of the house, but the servis is ok

Parking- ok

Overall I dont know if i should recommend or not since i ordered 3briani kmbing. Better next time u should take different menu then u can compare each menu. I do prefer u should try 40 hari kambing- its...
