Ramly Kopitiam — Restaurant in Johor

Acceptable food and service for the first time I been here 2 years back.

When there recently for 2nd time and sad to say that their service is from bad it getting worst!!!

1st time when there, asking for roti kukus or roti bakar they said unavailable as roti habis dan stok belum sampai. Fine. But suddenly, we saw other table received their roti bakar or roti kukus. How do you feel about it??? Then my husband nasi lemak was so late to served, both myself and my sister already finish our meal and we had to wait for his order quite sometimes to arrive before he quickly eat and we pay & walk away.

2nd time last week, my brother in law asking for nasi lemak mix bihun and only after 20 min the server inform back that it not available as rice still cooking and need to wait for 10-15mins. Ok, fine. He change to soto. It odd as we saw other table being served their nasi lemak!!!! At this time both myself and my sister already finished our breakfast. We order satay too..and guess what? They forget our order as well..we had to asked when saw other table that came later than us got their order first. But it okay our order came not too long after we check with the seller. We finish ate satay and the soto still not arrive!!!. My sister fed up and say we should leave. Upon paying at the counter my brother in law asked his soto and they start pointing everywhere. Apparently they did not do his order!!!!!!! So we sitting & waiting at the table like a fool!!!! The best part our table just in front of the payment counter and their service area, yet they did not see us...

Sorry to say this, but if this how you treat your customer, well be prepared to lose your business in no time.

For a record too, I notice another table also giving body language "where is my other food" and I felt bad for a lady who asking for baby chair but unattended by the server, instead they ask her to find it herself. A man also standing at the payment counter asking for his roti ordered but did not received, then he pay his bill and leave. In December last year my brother in law bring his friend from Kedah with his small children and not being attended by any of the waitress for long time before they themself got to stop the passing by waitress to give their order.

Come on la..if you want to do business please do it with full hospitality & respect your customer. Coming from background of service industry and HR background this type of service do not acceptable at all!!! Especially when your food just so-so in taste and nothing special at all!. I myself will not going back...

Used to hang out with my friends here before covid time. Come back again with my husband to show him Johor breakfast style. Ordered a lot of foods. Mee rebus is mehhhh... Cair dan rasa kurang sikit. Lontong is good. But disappointed no lontong kering. Johor lontong kering is the best! Satay Johor is usually a bit sweet. So yeah, it is what it is. But the kuah kacang is a bit cair. The roti bakar is definitely the best. Tak manis sangat. Just nice 👍🏼👍🏼 Cucur udang also recommended.

But the kopitiam is really packed. Kalau yang merokok tu bau kuat sangat. I will definitely come here again but not with my children. L

The order system here is based on the stall. Once the food arrives on your table, you need to pay straight away. Not sure about e-wallet. So please...

Whenever I come back to Bukit Gambir on Friday (as I'm working in Klang,Sgor), I'll make sure to have my bfast at this restaurant. The reataurant is packed with customers bwn 8:00-10:00 but would ease slightly thereafter. I love the Mi Rebus Johor, Roti Telor Goyang, Roti Bun Kukus & Kopi Cham. Price is affordable. And typically Johorean, you can have satay for bfast. Must try Latest edit Sun 13Jul: I order Nasi Lemak with boiled eggs. Sadly, the sambal was without anchovies. I asked the waiter why there is no anchovies, she gigly replied "ikan bilis takde". It has 6 ground peanuts. What is nasi lemak without ikan bilis? And the price of the normal set nasi lemak here is not cheap. Am thinking of not coming again to Ramly...
