Restoran Al-Safa Bandar Seri Alam — Restaurant in Johor

I visited Restoran Al-Safa, Seri Alam today (27/9/25) and had a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow. Although sometimes food arrives on time, most of the time it is very late, even when the restaurant isn’t busy. On this visit, I waited nearly 45 minutes while other tables who came after me were served first.

The ordering process is also uncomfortable. The restaurant does not provide menus on hand. As soon as you sit down, staff immediately rush to ask what you want, without giving time to check options. My mother was even pressured by the manager to try their so-called “top seller,” Nasi Goreng Ikan, without being told exactly what the dish included or its price.

When my food finally arrived, the quality was disappointing. The ghee tosai I ordered was dry and not hot, while the Maggi goreng took far too long. The Nasi Goreng Ikan came with a huge fish head, which shocked my family because my mother thought it would be served with sliced fish. She doesn’t eat fish head, so the dish went mostly untouched.

The biggest shock came when paying the bill – the nasi goreng with fish head was RM65, something the manager never explained when he pushed the dish to my mother. When I asked for clarification, the manager responded rudely instead of handling the matter professionally. This left us feeling frustrated and disrespected.On top of that, people kept smoking around the tables, making the dining experience even more uncomfortable.

Overall, the food quality, service, and communication at Al-Safa Seri Alam were very poor. Staff often push responsibility to each other, and the management lacks courtesy when dealing with customers. I hope the restaurant trains its staff to treat guests properly, explain dishes clearly, and be transparent about prices. For now, I cannot...

Food was great not gonna lie but scamming your customers isn't. Me and my friend ordered naan cheese tarik for 2, add-on 1 chicken tandoori when the waiter offered "naan cheese tarik special boleh?". We asked if the special includes the tandoori and the waiter said yes. Without having any thought besides thinking the special was chicken tandoori WITH the cheese naan only but when the order came, the naan arrived looking like a pizza just like the picture I uploaded. Had me confused bcs it was not how I imagined. Then when ask for confirmation with the owner/boss, he confirmed it was the cheese naan special. Okay la dah terorder nak buat cane, makan je la, luckily it was delicious but when the owner/boss came back to our table saying that customers rarely order that special bcs of the price is actually RM25??? Lost my appetite immediately knowing that I was scammed. The waiter who took our order should be lucky cause we didn't remember who was the one who took our order. This is my first time coming here and it shall be my last. Very disappointed bcs the food there is sumpah sedap but tulah kena scam.
