Stuffy, suffy. The place is really stuffie, it could have been our arrival near its closing hour, but place is filled with hot fumes from the kitchen with little ventilation.

But that didnt stop us from devouring its delicious food. Especially it's Fried Riverprawn dish. It comes in a bigger than average size prawn, that has a very delicious crunch when biting into it. It is lightly seasoned where you could taste the essence of the prawn.

Had the steamed Hongkong style fish. It is doused in chinese wine that had a very nice flavor to it. Could be the fish, but i felt the texture of the fish was slightly grainy when eating. Perhaps it's saltwater fish, or it could be just less fresh fish.

Other dishes was average, not very heavily seasoned. Had their signature cuttlefish doused in satay peanut sauce, didnt seem that impressive, but was fine.

All in all, we ordered 5 dishes with 2 of them being Fish and Prawn. It was about 270RM. Very much reasonable and affordable for the amount of food. Would probably return to try the other prawn dishes if time and...

This restaurant is all about the location and old school vibes. Situated in a sleepy old town adjacent to a big river. Food taste wise mediocre.

Steamed prawns (Rm52 for 650g) 👍 Very fresh but because it’s fresh water prawns so the flesh isn’t that sweet.

Thai style patin fish (Rm39 for 650g) 🫲 Far too sweet. Overpriced for such a small fish. You can buy live patin fish at the market for Rm10 per kg.

Cuttle fish kangkong with satay sauce (Rm11) 🫲

Steamed otak with eggs (Rm7) 🫲

Pig trotters bee hoon (Rm18) 👎 No wok kei. Lots of watery gravy - tasted more like boiled rather than fried bee hoon.

Pork liver (Rm13) 👎 Very...

Overall the freshness of the prawn is okay, the dishes other than this might not at the acceptable level you can tolerance. The cuisine of the food might not cooked in fragrance and just taste typically, sometime it is under the standard that is not worth to order it.

Hope the chef would be reconsidered to sharpen his skills on the dishes other than the prawn that would be increasingly attract the tourists to pay a visit there to taste the food of the fish village.

The cost of the prawn is quite costly and expensive. The serving of the prawn might not at the freshness...
