While driving to the east coast, I stumbled upon this place unintentionally. The cozy ambiance and the lively crowd of locals immediately caught my attention. From the menu, it appears they serve a variety of seafood dishes that many rave about. Unfortunately, as I was dining alone, I opted not to try them.
The biggest letdown of my visit was the attitude of the lady boss. She was extremely unpleasant—unfriendly, impatient, and outright rude. Her behavior came as a shock, and after browsing through Google reviews, I realized that many others had experienced the same treatment.
I ordered a quick bite: anchovy fried rice, a simple and my favourite comfort food. However, it was far from satisfying. The rice was wet and clumped together, completely lacking the defining characteristics of good fried rice. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you're staying nearby before your journey to Tioman Island. It's a delightful dining experience that...
Read moreGood chinese food near Tanjung Gemok jetty! Price is cheap compared to city. Could be quite hot during afternoon (for lunch) as it is open air. Interior is a bit run down but not affecting food quality. Menu is in three languages, english thai and chinese.
Thai Fried Pork Knuckle is RM33 (half serving), taste and texture not bad. Was surprised to find a small town have this on menu. Bitter Gourd Soup is RM12, inside have egg drop and mushrooms with assorted vegetable. Price for two is RM73, acceptable and consider really worth it with menu we ordered....
