When i scroll the reviews, it was not very good, until i went there. With my own experience i find this place is good overall. Do not missed out their Ulam and belacan session, this is free for all customer. Their sambal belacan is great place for those who want to try out different type of Thai Sauces. There are 4 types of belacan for your choices.
Personally I found the restaurant is generous in offering free ulam and belacan to their customer. This is really good for those who want to try thai good and yet can't eat hot chillies..
Food: We have ordered seafood tomyam (red) - this is hot. But the ingredients is generous, we ordered L size. Prawn, sotong and fish slices are fresh.
Chicken feet salad: very tasty, sourish lime chicken feets.
Pandan chicken: This is average for me.
Belacan Kangkong: good.
Fried ToFu: this is must try item. Crispy skin and smooth and soft tofu inside, dipped with their chilli sauce with some peanut topping. It's delicious, tasty and a good bite size.
3 rasa Fried Siakap: the fish is medium size selling at Rm54 (based on market rate) you can ask for thier price before you order. That is thai sauce, sweet, hot and spicy. A good mixture of taste buds.
Dessert: red ruby, after a hot dishes session, having sweet dessert to chose away the hot chilli taste.
Drink: lime juice (Jug) this is very satisfying. Cold, and sour. A good combination to help reduced hot chilli taste rest linger on your tongue.
Full house: We went there around 7:30pm, full house, turnover is quick.
Location: a bit further away from the main road, it's amongst industrial area.
Service: again, we had a great experience in this restaurant. The servant are really caring and serve us well. Food delivering is also fast and quick.
Pick up point: this is wonderful and surprise spot - for a restaurant with this price range. They take care and offer the best at customer convenient. You can sit at the main door, your driver can drive in and pick you up from there. You won't be worry even it's raining. Because the place is covered.
This is cosy place and very instagrammable place. Beautiful garden, well maintain. Suitable for young, old, handsome and pretty. Good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame the first time around 630pm and queue was massive, decided to come back another day. There are parking spots in front of the restaurant or down the road. Just park wherever if its on a weekend.
Second time, arrived at about 5.30pm, walked straight to the queue counter to take a number, there was 19numbers before me. But the queue goes pretty fast so waited about 30mins +/-
They brought us to our table, it was indoor and without a view :( We asked them if we could have a table outside, they said no but 3mins later they came back and say there is so we moved :)
It's not exactly where i wanted to sit but its definitely better than before. Seeing the number of people i expected the food to be slow BUT it came damn fast.
Milk Tea (RM8.50); i dont really like thai milk tea cause it's usually too thick and too sweet but this one was just now, i like it.
Otak Otak Small (RM22); for small, the portion is huge. Plenty of seafood but it's soft/mushy. Texture of otak otak also mushy and wet. Taste wise not nice to me.
Tom Yum Mixed Seafood Regular (RM27); again for small, the portion is huge. Plenty of seafood and slightly less mushy than the ones in otak otak. Could use more spicyness, tomyum taste of only oil, alittle sweet/sour. No umphhh.
Kangkung Belacan Small (RM12); big portion also. Could use more spiciness.
I think the price is reasonable for the portion. Small portion is sufficient to feed a few people. Among the dishes i've ordered the kangkung is the best. If you are not too picky then this place is okay for you, but come earlier before rush hour so you don't have to wait long. Restaurant is huge and has...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirstly, it was crowded and you have to make reservations before 3pm. They do have a WhatsApp number, which says theyāll reply promptly. I messaged after 3pm hence I didnāt receive a response you may try!
It was CROWDED, I assumed itās due to the food quality but from my experience the food was not good and there was no quality in their serving neither freshness.
My family of 5 waited for 20mins and we were given a number. Their exterior was decent but interior was ok.
The moment we sat down and placed our order, all the dishes came in quite quick but nothing to be impressed with. Their fish (3 rasa) was served cold and the fish siakap was not fresh at all. It definitely was a šš½.
Their Tom yum is the reason Iāve given 2 stars, it was the only dish that was delicious. Their fried dishes was merely an ok nothing to praise.
Plates and utensils wasnāt clean even their rice was dirty, drinking water was filled with debris which I told the cashier and they did not charge it otherwise blindly there goes your 0.50 cents down the drain. My dissatisfaction is not solely for the money but the experience.
The place constantly smells, maybe a cooler or something with Air freshner will keep the place pleasant. They serve seafood and itās not a fully opened space so something to work on.
Iām planning to try Ekkamai with my family for a Thai Food experience and I hope thatāll be Aroi Mak.
They also missed a dessert order of ours, thatās maybe due to the crowd. So yeah! š
P.S: We ordered 10ādishes including rice and the...
