Located about an hour drive from the city. Getting there was easy enough with just RM1.30 toll charges on the road. Googlemaps will tend to direct towards Baru 11 turnoff but suggest to just continue straight on. The place is surrounded by 2 main lakes (man made) against a steep hill. This should peak the interest of the weekend city angler though there are several rules to adhere to like no bomb tackles and use of live bait. I've personally seen many flout the rules but the fish is released back, so many just keep quiet. There is a shooting range towards the right side of the lake (shooting club actually) that has certain dress rules. The place looks like it could need some sprucing up. Didn't ask how much to fire a gun but didn't look appealing at the moment. There are ATVs and cycles for hire but again they don't come cheap. ATVs are RM50 for 15minutes and cycles are RM25 for 30minutes. Quite honestly I finished walking both lakes in less than 15 minutes so go figure what you are going to do with those extra minutes. There are chalets near the shooting range but again they looked wearied and smelled funky. I doubt they generate much rental from there. The restaurant opens at about 1130am and that pulls the city dwellers in. The food was ok, pretty pricey but nothing to shout about. They sell fresh fish as well, look out for the but on the left as you come in. Those prices are affordable as they gut the fish for you. All in all, if you want a quick getaway from the city, just for a picnic then yes but if you're coming all the way for food ; it's simply not very...
