So this is definitely NOT a dog friendly place. I found this place from a "dog friendly restaurants" list on social media. I even contacted their number to reconfirm that I can bring my dog and they said yes. In spite of me having my tiny dog poodle in a bag, from the minute I arrived, I was nagged at and told multiple times I can't have my dog there by the Thai workers. They even placed me & my mum at the farthest table at the entrance, treating us like lepers and STILL the worker, an older female came over and continued to nag me saying we can't have my dog there (who was in the bag) until I finally had enough, and informed her I will call her manager. I wanted to bring my mum there for mother's day lunch and instead, they totally spoiled my mood and experience for my mother and I.
Bad service: The workers were sitting at a table and chatting away. They didn't even realize when we kept calling for attention. When they delivered the food, they literally threw the plate on the revolving portion of table at farthest location from me. My mum was shocked at how rude they were. This really spoiled my treat for her mother's day lunch. I am very disappointed.
Poor food: The fish was over fried and the tiga rasa sauce was so sweet and sticky. It felt muak to eat after a bit. The bendi wt garlic was cooked well. The salted egg squid was not fresh and soft, again, yucky. We couldn't finish it. The best dish was the cendol as the coconut tasted fresh and surprisingly not overly sweet and was good.
Overall verdict: Unfortunately this is my last time here. They spoiled my mother's day treat and I am extremely disappointed. I also hated how they treated us from start to end. There should be a manager going around checking that the workers to ensure they are not being lazy and obnoxious to customers. It is a nice place aesthetically, but the food and service was not worth the drive all the way there. So, I am definitely not...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE!!! If can, I won’t even give 1 star. We had bad experience! Food was average, we came on 31st August at 11.30am to beat the lunch crowd. A lot of items not available as it was a busy Sunday yesterday. Understandable, so we ordered what’s available. We asked what’s the price for BBQ crabs, we were told it’s Rm 110 for 2 crabs, asked for the size, was told each crab is abt 500-600gm. We proceed with our order. We also ordered a bottle of beer whilst waiting. Food took nearly 30-45min, Nevermind, we wait. Beer came out after I asked the waiter, as all the dishes has arrived. Beer was so slightly chill, also Nevermind. We saw the crab, it was small, thinking it’s sold in accordance to weight. We had our lunch. By this time, the lunch crowd was coming in. All the tables occupied. Then we realised there’s ppl waiting at the side for our table, it’s happeneing at every table. THERES NO SOP!!! OMG!!! They allow new patrons to come in and crowd at the tables inside to “book” tables with existing customers eating!!!! We have no choice to leave as we also ordered desserts. We quickly finish our meals. We proceed to cashier to inquire for the PIC, there’s no PIC. The owner or manager not available. Come on! It’s a PH, surely you know there will be a crowd. Have some crowd control!!! The price also over the top expensive for the quality and amount served especially the crab, desserts Is a disappointment. Overall, please do give this place a miss, take your money elsewhere. The only thing that’s not bad was the environment and the fishes in the pond. Service Of food and drinks was really bad as they were understaffed and we were not given any dipping sauce even we have asked. I’ve to go get my own cutleries as plates for desserts Overall A BIG...
Read moreVisited this restaurant recently with high hopes, given the unique setting and the promise of fresh, farm-to-table Thai cuisine. Unfortunately, while the ambience was charming, the food experience was quite underwhelming.
Ambience is the highlight of the visit. The kampung-style setup with thatched roofs, a large fish-filled lake, and surrounding greenery from the forest reserve offers a cooling and rustic dining atmosphere. Great for photos and a relaxing escape from the city buzz.
Sadly, the food did not live up to expectations. • Cockles: Served boiled but still raw. We requested them to be recooked, but they remained underdone. Not fresh either. Left mostly untouched. • King Prawn: Served in a strange, overly sweet gravy — like someone tried to mix butter, tom yum, and plenty of sugar. Not a pleasant combo. • Chicken Tom Yum: Tasted like it was made by someone new to cooking in overseas — heavy on curry and chilli powder, and you can taste the raw powdery texture. • Lala (Kam Heong style): Sauce was overpowering. Couldn’t taste the lala at all. • Chicken Feet Skin Thai Salad: Surprisingly good. Tangy and well-balanced. • Talapia (Steam Lemon): Just… “hmmm”. Didn’t leave much of an impression, and not in a good way. • Fish Cake: One of the better dishes. • Paku Pakis Garlic: Decent. • Ladies Fingers Belacan: Flavour was okay, but vegetables didn’t taste fresh — surprising, given they’re supposedly grown on-site.
If you’re coming for the view and atmosphere, it’s worth a visit. But if you’re here for quality Thai food, especially seafood, temper your expectations. Some dishes showed promise, but overall the flavours felt off, ingredients not fresh, and cooking inconsistent.
I would only recommend for the setting,...
