Food: 4/5 Overall I love the foods because the chef is creative combining east and west. Replacing some of local herbs/veggie instead the western one. The food we had are the tenderloin steak, kimchi pasta, magherita pasta and pulled beef sandwich. The steak was overpower by rosemary which slightly disappoint me because it hide the local herbs taste. The kimchi pasta surprise me, because that was the first time I know about white kimchi. For those that love a bit sour in their food should tried this because it was a good fusion. Magherita pasta should be more tomatoes, it was lack of tomatoes. But me and my mum favourite was the pulled beef. We ordered twice. At first we got over toast sandwich, I said to myself the toast was ruined yet the char side wasnt bitter and the soft and the mix feeling of local herbs won my heart which we order the second time but the toast wasnt crispy as before. Overall it was a great food been served.
Customer service: 3/5 There was a mix in our order which delayed our order. But as waiter should just say sorry and dont add anything else. Dont say that it was the chef mistake. Just say sorry and try your best to speed up the order. Beside that, we were hungry and expected the food could be served in stages as appetizers, main course and dessert(course meal). Yet, the waiter said they cant do that. It was disappointing.
The scene:4/5
I love the scene, akar lima creatively create a good scene. How they recycle the windows frame becoming the table. Changing the plate with tiles( I believe this wasn't recycled)....
Read moreStepping into Akar Lima felt like entering a hidden oasis, with its cozy, garden-inspired ambiance creating a serene atmosphere perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Arriving early for dinner, I was immediately struck by the warmth and charm of the restaurant's interior, which was adorned with lush greenery and soft lighting.
Perusing the menu, I found myself torn between the enticing options, ultimately deciding on indulging in two types of pasta, a comforting bowl of mushroom soup, and a crispy quesadilla. As each dish was presented, I couldn't help but marvel at the attention to detail and the tantalizing aromas that filled the air.
The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the homemade meatballs, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with savory goodness. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving me craving more with every mouthful.
Despite the undeniable quality of the cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices, which made the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. From the impeccable service to the exquisite food, every aspect of my visit to Akar Lima exceeded my expectations.
In conclusion, Akar Lima is a hidden gem for those seeking delicious food in a charming setting. Whether you're craving hearty pasta dishes or flavorful appetizers, this restaurant offers a culinary experience that is truly unparalleled. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings in the future.
Definitely will come here...
Read moreI came here for the first time, it was a dinner time. This western fusion restaurant is actually a lodge too located in a residential area. From the main road, there's a sign board and signage leading to the property. The road leading to it is pretty small. The property otherwise is huge. I was greeted by a nice greenery. The landscaping is very nice.
The ordering process is pretty simple, scan the QR code, order and pay in one go. I ordered a beef tenderloin with mash potato and Tuscan chicken with spicy sauce. Btw, this restaurant uses Raja Ulam as one of the main garnish/herbs/salad. Lol.
The beef tenderloin was given an option to choose well done or medium rare. I chose the latter one and it was delivered perfectly. Beef is well seasoned, tender, and juicy. For a person who dislike ulam raja herb, the combination of beef with ulam raja was surprisingly delectable.
The Tuscan chicken is tender, the meat falls off bone easily. The creamy sauce that pairs well with the pasta was an absolute delight.
I also ordered a beef wrap and a carrot walnut cake. Beef is juicy. Every bite of the wrap is not dry. Carrot cake is not very sweet, quite moist as well.
There are a lot of cats here. So if you are not a fan of cat, you might not like it. These cats are quite cute.
Overall I had a wonderful dining experience. Nice ambiance, delicious food. I will revisit to try...
