Jade Garden Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Kelantan

Once a favourite, now a disappointment.

This used to be one of the best restaurants in Kuala Krai, but sadly, our recent visit was a major letdown.

For just three dishes, rice, 3 Chinese teas and 2 warm waters, the total cost felt expensive for what was served.

The Dongpo Rou came with only 8 small pieces. The texture was mushy and overly soft, lacking the rich, layered bite you'd expect from a well-done braised pork belly.

The steamed fish was undercooked, and rather than offering a fresh replacement or even an apology, they simply took it back, steamed it slightly more, and served it again—without any explanation or concern. The stir-fried potato leaves were bland and forgettable.
