You will easily being attracted by the signboard of this food stall on your way to or back from Freeport or A'Famosa Resort. One will wonder how an iced dessert known as cendol can be roasted ('bakar' in Malay). You will be attracted by the "drive-thru" ('pandu lalu' in Malay) signboard too.

In fact, this is a branch of a food stall at Kampung Assam Jawa in Kuala Selangor. The reason to have this name is because the gula Melaka (palm sugar) is roasted with other ingredients for this cendol.

The cendol is not that sweet as it is using palm sugar, and it roasted and mixed well with the creamy coconut milk. There are several types of cendol available here. The types are based on the add-on such as Nata de coco, basil, corn, peanut, glutinous rice, durian and tapai. The shaved ice is cool enough to quench your thirst during the hot day. You just give...

False advertising. I really thought they serve cendol bakar as in "roasted cendol". So, I was wondering how would they do that. It must be really special! But I thought wrong. Bakar is actually the owner's name! It's actually Bakar's Cendol. Lol! The price is reasonable, but it's not as delicious as other better cendol I have had before. Then, they also close very early which is around 7 p.m. I went there around 6.30 p.m, and I couldn't even order any drinks, because they said "the counter is closed". What the hell?? And I can't even order some water. Plain water! The place is also very dirty with food spilled on the floor, tables were sticky with drink stains and whatnot. Definitely won't ever go...

I don't understand why this place had gone viral. The owner should use that opportunity as a platform to do multi improvisation. The cendol that became public's hype tastes good but you can get them anywhere else. That doesn't really matter though as long as it tastes good it's completely fine. The surroundings was full with flies, and there were pools of water due to rainy season under the tables, not a great environment to enjoy the food. Should do something to at least make customers comfortable to dine in. I had higher expectation anyway. I really hope this place become better in...

This place is famous for its “Hantoo Char Koay Teow ( HCKT)” and Cendol. We arrived here on a Sunday around 3pm, the place is quite crowded and the HCKT is already finished. So we ordered the Mee Goreng Mamak and Tauhu Bakar, and of course the Cendol. All the food tasted good, especially the Tauhu Bakar whereby the gravy is simply delicious. The prices of the food here is reasonable. However the whole place could have been decorated more beautifully and kept clean.
