Cafe is cute and has nice decor with a lot of natural light. There are also clean toilets and a prayer room provided. We had a latte and mocha frappucino, both tasted good.
I have some constructive criticism though that should help the owners improve the cafe. No malicious intent here but important that owners take note of comments from customers like myself if they want to expand/maintain business :
Please serve drinks before serving food, or serve them together. I got my bagel first then got my drink quite a while later after that. Drinks first because noone wants to eat a meal with a dry throat.
The cashier did not tell me that you could choose the type of bagel you want. I assumed all bagels were plain. As a result, I received a cinnamon bagel with chicken pepperoni and cream cheese. Flavour combination is a bit off, some may prefer this but I think the cinnamon bagel would go better with the sweet fillings. Disappointed that cashier did not tell me I could choose the type of bagel, and that the sandwich chef decided that a cinammon bagel would make sense with a savoury filling.
Service was very slow considering that we were the only ones in the cafe (another small group came after us but we were there first). Waiter did inform us later that our order was delayed because the chef was out but we were only informed that after waiting for quite a while. We ordered shakshuka which is not a complex dish if all ingredients are prepped, other members of staff (such as sandwich maker) should be able to fill in when one is on a break. Or the very least, before the order is taken, customers should be informed of the delay.
Below are just some personal suggestions for improvement, not major criticisms but may be helpful too:
I think the bagels on the menu are a bit plain. The sandwich maker was very generous with the amount of cream cheese but besides that there was only lettuce and some slices of chicken ham. Would suggest adding tomatoes, avocado, eggs or anything that would make the flavour less one dimensional. I would also suggest serving the bagels in paper and cutting it in half, it would be less messy to eat that way.
The sourdough bread slices that came with the shakshuka were drenched in butter but were not properly toasted/grilled. Either reduce the amount of butter or grill the bread for longer so that there is some char on the bread.
Perhaps put an automatic door closer on your front door. That ways staff/customers don't have to close the door.
Hope the comments were helpful. I haven't tried the spaghetti yet so maybe will come back for that especially because it seems reasonably priced . Until then hope some improvements are...
Read moreI had medovik and matcha here on a Friday night. Despite a carboot being open nearby, there was plenty of space and room to dine in here.
The vibe is immaculate for a cafe tucked in a quiet corner of Mercato 2. Loved the ambience and homely vibe Atameme delivers.
The iced matcha latte I had was perfect. I'm pretty sure no sugar was added (I didn't recall being asked if I wanted sugar), yet, the matcha balances well with the milk. Medovik is great too. It reminded me of the ones my mother used to buy for me back in Abu Dhabi back when I used to visit them. I do recommend everyone to try it once RIGHT BEFORE IT BECOMES THE NEXT VIRAL TREND and gets butchered by medovik-maker-wannabes. (RIP tiramisu, you will be missed unbutchered by the trends.)
Atameme also serves heavy meals, such as pasta and rice bowls of many varieties. I usually come here for fika. But Atameme really is a great spot for any occasion, be it lepaking with your friends, your fika date or just family bonding time.

Read moreFirst time visiting, I already fell in love with this cafe the moment I entered it. The cafe was decorated beautifully and had the vibes as I am in nature because they put a lot of plants and also the wall painted in green color. Combining with some wood furniture, it really suits well.
The staff at the counter and also who serve food are all nice and didn't lack smiles.
Order and payment needs to be made at the counter first. Waiting time for receiving the food that I ordered doesn't take long either.
The menu that I had that day was Salted Egg Chicken Rice Bowl. I like how it was presented. The chicken and the sauce were separated and I think it's good to keep the crunchiness of the chicken. I ask them to make the sauce non-spicy and they follow the order well. The flavor of the sauce is really tasty, the creaminess is just nice and doesn't taste muak. The Carrot Cake sweetness levels are still acceptable for me who don't really eat sweets. The texture...
