Hill&Chill Coffee Nilai — Restaurant in Negeri Sembilan

I love this little 'hideout'. The food is satisfying, some are simple dishes but brimming with wholesome goodness. Quality is definitely there. Hot and cold coffee selection is impressive. Breads are homemade, which is fantastic as i love breads and bake them too. Menu is a good mix of local flavours and western faves. I was there later in the morning so it was quiet but customers trickled in slowly.

I would come many many times over for a good me-time chill-out but would recommend some improvements: (1) The bar table needs taller chairs. The current ones aren't comfy as your arms are too low, making it difficult to handle the food serving. (2) Great if dishes can be served in slightly bigger plates so customers can dig in without worrying spilling all over the table. (3) Beautiful location but need lots more shady trees around the outdoor seating. (4) It would help if the signboard by the side of the road is more prominent and eye-catching so customers searching for the place don't miss it as the main road is winding and a little narrow.

We like the ambience and the view of greens from the second level. Food and coffee were good.

Improvements needed in these aspects:

The placement of the cashier could be adjusted by relocating it against the wall which faces the entrace door. Its current position immediately in front of the door does not give a pleasant feeling. It does not only look cramped, but also seem to unwelcome customers and chase them away.

The waiting time can be improved further, we waited for approximately 30 minutes for our food to arrive.

I ordered the toast set with half boiled eggs. I prefer if two slices of bread are included in the set instead of just one slice. Putting the eggs on top of the one slice of bread made the kaya spread not so useful — bread already became soggy. Kaya was good though. It’s a shame that it could not be enjoyed much.

I will definitely come again to support and taste more options on the menu such as mi kari and lempeng. Both looked yummy!

Datang cafe ni untuk santai-santai pagi sabtu . Pertama kali datang lepas buat carian Google, review bercampur-campur, ada best ada tak berapa best tapi tengok gambar macam nice, so kami datang berdua.

Sampai jam 9.30pagi, first impression nice, parking pun banyak, orang tak ramai, ada beberapa bahagian di perkarangan dan bahagian dalam. Bahagian dalam ada tingkat bawah dan tingkat atas (ruangan duduk bersila).

Bab nak order, kena scan QR, lepas tu tengok menu online dan order di kaunter. Konsep QR tu ok untuk zaman sekarang tapi kalau guna QR adalah lebih baik untuk order di meja sahaja. Bila scan QR, tengok di phone baru nak order di kaunter, dah jadi bottleneck sebab ruang di bahagian kaunter sangat terhad. Masa kami nak order pun dah ada 3 lagi pelanggan sampai, jadi agak sesak depan tu. Kalau ada physical menu rasanya lebih mudah.

Lepas order, plan nak duduk bersila di tingkat atas, tapi bila dah naik nak duduk, meja pula berhabuk (bukan sisa makanan) macam tak di lap sebelum buka. Terus kami pilih untuk duduk di bahagian luar.

Siap order jam 9.40pagi, kami duduk dan tunggu order sampai. Bab ni memang menduga kesabaran, (perlu diingat orang tak berapa ramai, dan kami antara yg awal sampai berbanding yang lain-lain dekat kaunter tadi). Jam 10 pagi baru air sampai. ok lagi la tu. Masih setia menunggu makanan, jangkaan sepatutnya toast goyang sampai dulu sebelum main course (big breakfast dan nasi lemak), tapi jangkaan meleset.

Setelah nampak pelayan keluar masuk dapur bawa air dan makanan, )hantar ke siapa kami tak tahu). Finally, makanan pertama sampai big breakfast jam 10.15pagi. Setelah lama menunggu, tengok big breakfast ni harga rm28.90 tapi porsi dia… hurmmm boleh nilaikan sendiri, saya sertakan gambar. Ok takpe, dah lapar kita makan aja lah.

Makanan kedua sampai, nasi lemak chicken wing jam 10.20pagi, harga RM 14.90, untuk perbandingan saiz ayam saya letakkan sudu bersaiz normal sebelah dia untuk gambaran. Rasa quite ok.

Last sekali jam 10.30pagi, toast goyang sampai, harga rm7.50. dah jadi pencuci mulut pula walhal awal-awal ingatkan pembuka selera. Tapi pelik juga kenapa lambat sampai, sebab tengok roti nya, macam yang sama dengan roti ‘big’ breakfast, ada kaya, dan telur goyang. Wallahualam.

Secara keseluruhan, kalau datang untuk layan suasana ala-ala kampung, ada bau hutan, asap, mengimbau memori, ok nice.

Dari segi makanan, rasa ok, tapi service memang rasanya banyak perlu diperbaiki sebab tak tahulah, nampak yang kesana sini tukang serve macam sorang je.

Untuk kami, harga benda-benda makanan ni tak berkira, as long as rasa dan portion tu setara tapi dekat sini dari segi portion tu macam tak berapa kena lebih-lebih lagi big breakfast tu. Untuk korang-korang saya tak pasti, tapi boleh cuba sendiri lepas tu kongsikan juga ya!
