The next morning, we went looking for a good breakfast spot in Port Dickson. As usual, I checked Google for recommendations, and Kafe Kampung Kaw came up as the top choice. It was about a 16-minute drive from our homestay, a little far by Malaysian breakfast standards, but we decided to give it a try.
The location is somewhat isolated, but the signage and direction markers were very clear. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how well the parking was organized, with clearly marked entry and exit points. The large number of vehicles told us right away that the place was popular.
We were a group of seven, and a server quickly guided us to our table. The only small drawback was being given just two menus for seven people, ideally, four would have been better so we could share more easily.
The ordering system was excellent. Each table is provided with a checklist menu to mark down all items, which you then hand over to the server. After our food was served, they gave us a printed checklist of everything we ordered. The server then went through it with us, checking off each item to confirm we had received everything. This was a really impressive step, and I wish more restaurants would adopt it, it avoids the usual problem of missing or wrong orders.
We ordered a variety of dishes: my wife and I had nasi lemak, my mother-in-law chose nasi goreng kampung, while the kids went for soto, beef soup, nasi salmon salmon, and a few other items. Everything was served as ordered, and the food was flavorful and satisfying.
The dining area was shaded and comfortable, with proper coverings, plenty of fans, and even portable air conditioners running. The wash area and restrooms were also clean and well maintained.
Service was fast, friendly, and very organized. Combined with good food and attention to detail, it made for a great breakfast experience. Even the exit leading back to the main street was clearly marked, showing how well thought-out the...
Read moreAmazing that this cafe is not located on the main Port Dickson town but can be very crowded in the weekend yet has a cozy vibe and very inviting atmosphere especially with the yellow container structure and clear polycarbonate over the main dinning hall with partial of the area are under shady trees.
Upon entering, the aroma of grilled lamb wafts through the air, tempting the senses. The menu features a variety of dishes featuring lamb as the main/side dishes, including nasi lemak with grilled lamb, char kuew tiaw with grilled lamb, and nachos with lamb shredder and cheese.
The nasi lemak with grilled lamb is a must-try. The rice is fragrant and the lamb is perfectly cooked, with a smoky flavor that pairs well with the savory sauce. The char kuew tiaw with grilled lamb is another standout dish, with the flat noodles cooked to a perfect al dente and the lamb adding a delicious, meaty flavor. The nachos with lamb shredder and cheese are also a hit, with the cheese adding a creamy balance to the spicy lamb.
In addition to the savory dishes, the cafe also offers a variety of milkshakes in unique flavors such as strawberry milkshake . The mango milkshake is especially refreshing and pairs well with the spicy lamb dishes.
Another dish that we have the chance to try is the kuih gemuk. It really looks like a puree from most mamak stall but tasted like curry puff skin. It is serve with options of gravy, but this time opted for sambal sardines which in general mid

Read moreAs the first timer breakfast at here, I would say that nothing really special about this place, esp the foods and drinks. But bonus point for the dining area very spacious and very systematic order system. Staffs would come regularly to our table check if the order enough.
We ordered: Drinks: Ov ll, just typical drinks and good portion of drinks except the price.
Nasi lemak telur goyang and telur dadar. The nasi has sticky textures.. not sure if they added sticky rice with normal rice but sambal was very good, good amount of kacang and ikan bilis. Overall: 8/10
Bihun sup and Bubur These.. Idk what on earth the price exceed RM 6. Bubur just typical dish that has telur masin and ikan bilis (?) je sigh Bihun sup has fishcake and fishball with some chicken chunks. The taste and texture were very thick. Idk how to describe but it has very strong kick of white pepper(?) the after taste was not good Overall: 6/10
Bihun goreng Foa, the price is a bit harsh for typical bihun goreng. (RM 8.90) The last meal we receive. It has pretty very taste and kick, and pretty decent portion. Nothing much to say. Overall: 8/10
Last but not least Kuih gemuk + (add on) Sambal sardin The price RM 1 per piece of kuih gemuk. We received the meal unconsiderably cold including the sambal. I am not the fan of the sardin sambal eventhough some people would recommended it. If it were served hot it would be nice Overall: 6/10
Total price RM 50+ for 5 person
This might be the first and last time we come dine in this kafe. Orang kata buat ghaso-ghaso jela.. datang jauh kan 🤣 Recommend people would come as early as 8 am during weekend. 9 am above people would...
