I was ecstatic that a local young cafe opened in pekan Nilai. Went during the mid-week so i was quite surprised that the place is quite full. The seating capacity definitely can be improved. Since it's covid era today, it's totally understandable. I thought there are additional seats upstairs, but nope. And i love love love the fact that the entrance is at the side and the huge window is like a big TV with the everyday life of the Nilai community on display. (There's an apam balik cart just outside too!) Anyway, i enjoyed the classic caffe latte. Requested for less sugar, and the barista did well. Tried the nachos and oraise to lord that there's real cheese (not the cheese serbuk one)! Tried the sappy burger and the portion is more than enough in my opinion. And very impressed with the patty, proper caramelized onion inside with crispy beef bacon. But the patty, oohh the patty, it just melts in the mouth! If I could go down on one knee to the burger, i would. The crisscut fries was slightly overcooked for me but the burger compensated it well. I could tell it's a really well thought menu (at least the burger). Spent several hours doing work there while lunch-ing cos i think it's the perfect place to do that. Found my go to place in Nilai finally :) hoping that the 'virality' and the increasing visitors outside of Nilai doesn't reduce the quality of the food in the future. Kudos to the...
Read moreWe enjoyed our time at the cafe. My main concern was the dusty floor and walls. They should do something about that immediately. I don't think it's safe and hygienic eating and preparing food in that environment on a daily basis.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Doing their very best.
Enjoyed their chicken burger (Rangup) and beef burger (Sappy go). Rangup was better in my opinion. They served the best fries and wedges. Their carrot cake and brownies was tasty, not too sweet and rich in texture.
Their mocha was okay but a bit sweet to my liking (my taste is a bit on the bitter side). Most of their non coffee drinks are sparkling drinks (carbonated).
Ambience wise, I liked the industrial ID, open space and communal setup but maybe not so ideal during COVID-19 since it limits the number of patrons inside.
Love all the indoor plants but maybe they should add some light fixtures for them or move them closer to the window in front so they don't die.
Hopefully they'd improve on the dusty floor. This place has a lot...
Read moreI would say that the Buttersta pasta is pretty good for an aesthetic cafe in a small town located in Nilai but the gravy of the pasta was too much. I was expecting for less gravy. Burnt cheesecake was surprisingly up to par. It was very moist! Then, their spanish lattee is decent, they have a good coffee machine.
However, please try to use cash or transfer to their Public Bank when it comes to payment because when I tried using card, their debit card machine did not register that I have paid. Hence, I had to wait after the food comes to pay again.
The cafe is pretty okay but I wouldn’t say I love their interior especially high tables because it was unstable. I nearly spilled my coffee because of their unsteady high table.
I guess they should improve their food as well as their interior, make it more convenient for their customers instead of making it all “instaworthy” interiors that are not...
