My take: Train your staff better 👌🏽 Went for dinner on recommendation by a friend.
Food: Food was delicious, ayam is tender & juicy. The sauce was flavourful, the nasi was fluffy. However, I was quite surprised for a restaurant that has so many good reviews as an ‘Arab restaurant’, they don’t offer Hummus on the menu (which is a basic menu on any Arab restaurant). Also, please provide the food as identical as displayed in the menu. Ordered ‘Salatah B’ because it looks appetising; cucumber + tomatoes + coriander + onion etc. But when it arrived, only cucumber, no dressings no tomatoes nothing. Afraid it was a mistake, so i requested another ‘Salatah B’, but to my surprise they said that’s is the ‘Salatah B’ (only plain cucumber) because the one depicted in the menu has finished for that day, according to them 🥲 seriously?! You can’t chop extra tomatoes, coriander leaves & onions at the back for 10 minutes? I just couldn’t digest their reasoning 😅
Service: Please get your staff (waiter/ess) to STUDY the menu properly. As first timer, of course I would ask few questions related to the menu. Chicken Shish Tawook looks appetising, so my simple question was; “How many pieces of chicken on the skewers”? His answer was; “I don’t know”, instead of “let me check with the kitchen first” 🥲 Another thing, please train your staff to smile, at least for one second. I know working in F&B is exhausting, running here and there, but when customer is asking you about something outside the menu (like Hummus), your answer should be “Sorry it is not available”, bukan “Apa yang ada dalam menu, tu jelah” whilst pulling the face 😑
Cleanliness: Overall clean, but few thing I would highlight; (1) Table was greasy. When the food you offer is greasy (yes Nasi Arab is greasy), make sure you use the right cloth & cleaning product to wipe the table. (2) Never pass the menu to your customers before sanitising it. It doesn’t have to be squeaky clean, but when you open the menu and your finger touched the grease from previous customers, that’s not the best feeling am afraid 🥲 Yes i know this is not 5-star restaurant, but cleanliness is a basic thing when it comes to opening F&B business.
I am not a Karen in nature, I don’t normally winged, but when I point out about something, that means it’s bad enough. Sorry for long entry, hope the situation will improve 😊...

Read moreI used to come here almost a decade ago when they had a few Arab cooks. At that time I thought their kebab was already quite Malaysianised, taste-wise. This time around, it's even more Malaysianised.
Customer service was prompt but the waiters looked rather gloomy. Maybe they had a bad day, but yes.. it's service industry. So... Yes.
We ordered briyani chicken + lamb and chicken kebab. The briyani rice was rather underwhelming, spices were too subtle. Chicken and lamb were alright. They come with salata hara and some yoghurt dipping sauce. The salata hara was very unpleasant tasted borderline... Chilli sauce? I came for real Arab cuisine but I got a wannabe.
The chicken kebab was depressingly underspiced. It was extremely salty and bizarrely greasy. The only spice that I tasted was strong taste of white pepper. Paprika and coriander were... I am not sure whether those weren't cooked well or what but they were non-existent to my tastebuds. The weirdest part is having some cheesy sauce (similar to KFC cheesy wedges sauce) on garlic sauce. While I noted the effort to cater to Malaysians with more traditional palate, it could have been plated perhaps side by side with th garlic sauce but certainly not piped right on top of it.
There's free flow of plain soup which really tasted like some basic stock cubes with MSG. True to its name. Plain.
The wooden table had this layer of sticky grime which you could scrape off. It freaked me out to be honest. The washroom was super ancient too. For a veteran restaurant, it really could do with some...
